Dermot O’Leary comforts Alan Titchmarsh as they are confronted by the the ‘world’s most flexible girl’ on This Morning
As an ardent fan and observer of human resilience, I find myself utterly captivated by the extraordinary story of Liberty Barros. Her journey from a child who “crumbled like a cookie” to the world’s most flexible girl is nothing short of inspiring. It’s a testament to her determination, perseverance, and the power of serendipity – all sparked by a simple dance move from pop sensation Rihanna.
On Friday’s edition of This Morning, Dermot O’Leary found himself consoling Alan Titchmarsh after they encountered the world’s most adaptable young woman.
In a hurry, the presenter, aged 51, quickly embraced the star of Love Your Garden, as flexible performer Liberty Barros, who specializes in contortion, took control of the studio to demonstrate her agility.
Alan stared puzzled as the young artist skillfully contorted into various forms directly in front of him on the well-known ITV stage.
With an air of self-assurance, Liberty gracefully swung her legs overhead and hung them just in front of the DIY countertop in the kitchen area.
The record-breaking individual asserted that she felt absolutely no discomfort while performing her signature tricks, and she incorporates a small amount of yoga into her daily morning routine as a form of warming up.

Through her career, she’s showcased her skills on stages worldwide, yet it was pop sensation Rihanna who helped uncover her hidden talent.
However, her talent took everyone by surprise, including herself, since she was incredibly stiff as a child.
She mentioned that she found it peculiar since she had absolutely no flexibility as a child. Regardless of whether she danced, did gymnastics, or any other athletic activity, she would invariably wind up with her face on the ground.
‘I would literally crumble like a cookie.’
Due to some trouble with my breathing, I found myself unable to engage in many activities and I spoke with an unusual tone.
At the age of ten, I found myself imitating a dance move from one of Rihanna’s music videos. Specifically, I mimicked her by bending my entire body backwards.
‘And then my breathing difficulty went away.
‘When I was 12, I added in animation dance movements and that’s how I started.’

On the program, Alan chose to publicize his gardening series, yet he also shared that he prefers to steer clear of social media platforms.
He stated: I’m not on Facebook; I avoid it as I find I have enough challenges in my life already. I’m not dismissing the reality of life, but rather focusing on aspects that I can manage effectively.
‘And like everyone else, stresses and strains come from own family and friends, I worry about them.
‘I try not to worry about what people say about me because what’s the point?’
