Dennis Quaid shares update on his teen daughter who worked at nearby camp amid fatal floods in Texas
Dennis Quaid recently posted information about his daughter, Zoe Quaid, aged 17, who functions as a counselor at a local camp. Unfortunately, a devastating flood occurred at Camp Mystic in Texas, which he mentioned in his update.
The Texas movie star, 71, revealed that Zoe is safe in the Thursday broadcast of Fox News.
In simpler terms, the actor from The Parent Trap mentioned that he couldn’t contact her during the flash flood incident, and he stayed awake all night until he managed to speak with her the following day.
The hills of Texas hold a special charm, particularly for kids attending camps there. It’s an experience that remains deeply engraved in one’s heart forever, as he explained.
My girl was just a few miles north of Camp Mystic, but luckily, Camp Mystic itself remained unscathed.

He mentioned the floods while he was getting ready for bed, and since I knew she lived nearby, he attempted to phone her during the broadcast.
He mentioned that he was aware it wasn’t located close to the flooded area, but unfortunately, he couldn’t contact her until the following day. As a result, he had a restless night without much sleep, he noted.
Dennis expressed that he’s close friends with Kansas City Chiefs proprietor Clark Hunt, and extended his sympathies to his family following the passing of Janie Hunt, who tragically lost her life during the floods at the tender age of nine.
Dennis, a native and long-time resident of Houston, Texas, extended sympathies to all those impacted by the devastating floods that tragically took the lives of 120 individuals and left 160 more unaccounted for.
I deeply empathize with everyone, as well as the Hunt family, who are close friends of my wife Laura Savoie and me, expressed my sentiments.
Janie, I heard about Hunt getting lost over the weekend. I just can’t fathom… how heartbreaking that situation must be for all of us.
Dennis shares daughter Zoe with his third now ex-wife, Kimberly Buffington.
Dennis and Kimberly are parents to twins Zoe and Thomas, 17.



He’s also dad to Jack Quaid, 33, with his second now ex-wife Meg Ryan.
Dennis was married to P.J. Soles from 1978 to 1983, then Meg from 1991 to 2000, followed by Kimberly from 2004 to 2012, and now his current wife is Laura Savoie, who is 32 years old and 39 years younger than him.
On the Fourth of July, around dawn, devastating floods occurred in central Texas. In just 45 minutes, the level of the Guadalupe River surged an astounding 26 feet, following six alerts about potential flash floods that had been issued in the region earlier in the day.
Since its summer, multiple camps were in operations in the area -including Camp Mystic.
Tragically, a flood in the Hill Country claimed the lives of twenty-seven individuals at Camp Mystic, among them children and counselors. The overall death toll from this disaster has reached 120, with 160 more people yet to be accounted for.
