Denise Welch admitted she initially mistook pop star Troye Sivan for just a regular guy at a barbecue after fans pointed him out in photos from Charli XCX’s wedding.
I was so thrilled to hear that Charli and George tied the knot again! They had a beautiful second wedding in Sicily last month, and I was especially excited to see that Ruth Langsford and her son, Matty Healy, were there to celebrate with them. It was a really lovely event, and they all looked amazing.
Denise shared a playful collection of photos on Instagram that fans loved, calling it ‘iconic.’ She posed for a picture with Troye, but later confessed she didn’t recognize him at the time.
While at the Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, she told Metro she had a ‘fantastic time’ that day.
Denise said she was thrilled to share photos from the BBQ, especially because one of the people she photographed turned out to be Troye Sivan.
‘All these really cool people I didn’t know at the time until my Instagram blew up.’

She added that the wedding was a perfect reflection of Charli and George as a couple – warm, easygoing, and lovely. She expressed her happiness for the newlyweds.
Denise posted photos and videos from a ceremony she attended on an island with her husband, Lincoln Townley, her son Matty, and his future wife, Gabbriette Bechtel.
She really took advantage of the opportunity to meet celebrities, taking lots of selfies and videos during the event.
People shared photos of Denise with her son, Matty, who plays in the same band as George – The 1975. She looked chic in a black jumpsuit at the event.
After the wedding, guests relaxed on a lavish yacht outing. Denise posted a video showing herself and Charli, the new couple, getting ready to board.
Oh my gosh, you guys, even Denise’s ex, Tim Healy, came to the wedding! And her sweet youngest, Louis, who’s 24, was there too, celebrating Charli and George’s big day. It was just…everything!
She shared a video montage on Instagram with the caption: ‘So many emotions! #georgeandcharli Sicily 2025. That’s amore.’
Charli recently gave fans a glimpse into her wedding, and it was a lively and fun celebration! True to her playful personality, she even took over the DJ booth while wearing lingerie.

Charli XCX married The 1975’s drummer, and for the ceremony, she wore a unique wedding outfit with a classic Greek influence that reflected her signature style.
Oh my gosh, watching them renew their vows was EVERYTHING! They were SO emotional saying ‘I do’ again, and when they exchanged rings in front of all their family and friends… I honestly couldn’t hold back the tears! It was just perfect, a total dream come true, and I’m so happy for them!
The bride wore a flowing white dress with a long train. The sheer fabric showed off a fitted corset underneath.
As someone who keeps a close eye on style, I couldn’t help but notice Charli XCX – Charlotte Aitchison, to those who know her full name – really embraced a bold look, letting her white underwear be a visible part of her outfit. It’s definitely a statement, and very on-brand for her!
George looked handsome beside her, wearing a comfortable taupe suit with a loose, silk shirt that was slightly open, revealing his necklaces.
During the heartfelt ceremony, the couple was visibly emotional, sharing moments of laughter, tears, and tender hand-holding as they read their vows to each other.
The wedding ceremony was held on a beautiful, rocky cliff overlooking the ocean. Chairs were set up facing a simple altar decorated with eucalyptus and baby’s breath.
Charli and George sealed their renewed commitment with a loving kiss at the altar, celebrating their second marriage.
As the couple walked back down the aisle, greeted by applause and confetti, Matty stood up and cheered for them.
Just like true musicians, Charli and George immediately joined their guests in celebrating after the meaningful ceremony.

People were having a great time, dancing and laughing to a live band while enjoying cocktails and drinks.
Instead of the atmospheric sound of The 1975 or the energetic, dance-focused style of Brat, Charli and George chose a more classic approach with a folk band, featuring instruments like an accordion, tambourine, and harmonica.
Celebrating with champagne, the couple created a sparkling tower for their guests and shared another kiss.
Guests enjoyed Aperol Spritzes while laughing and dancing in the sunshine.
Charli and George looked incredibly happy together as newlyweds, sharing a quiet moment before heading to their lively reception.
The couple showed their passion for music at their wedding by naming each table after one of their favorite songs.
The playlist featured a diverse range of songs, including classics like The Velvet Underground’s “Sweet Jane” and Billy Ocean’s “Loverboy,” alongside tracks from Average White Band (“Cut the Cake”), The Japanese House (“Saw You in a Dream”), and the somewhat provocative song “Lemon Incest” by Serge and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
