Denise Van Outen’s love rat ex Eddie Boxshall is engaged! DJ proposes to girlfriend Caroline during Mallorca getaway

Eddie Boxshall, who used to be married to Denise Van Outen, revealed he’s engaged to his girlfriend, Caroline, in a post on Instagram on Thursday.

The 52-year-old DJ and actress Denise, 51, were together for seven years. Their relationship ended in 2022 when Denise found out he had been unfaithful.

Eddie shared that he proposed to his girlfriend, who is a personal trainer, on New Year’s Day while they were on a romantic getaway in Mallorca.

Caroline showed off her beautiful diamond engagement ring in a new photo, and Eddie announced the happy news with a post saying, ‘We got engaged yesterday, January 1st, 2026 ❤️’ He also included a ring emoji and the hashtag #Mallorca.

After the happy announcement, people quickly filled the comments with congratulations.

Vanessa Feltz’s former fiancé Ben Ofoedu wrote: ‘Congratulations bro ❤️’ 

While another pal wrote: ‘Congratulations mate!’ 

‘Ahh fab news what a stunning ring. congratulations to you both!!’ 

This follows Eddie publicly confirming his relationship with Caroline on Instagram in 2023, and stating he was happier than ever before.

The former Celebrity Googlebox star shared a snap as he cuddled up to the gorgeous blonde.

In January 2022, Denise ended her seven-year relationship with Eddie, a commodities trader, after finding out he had been unfaithful. She later found love with Jimmy Barba.

The couple ended their relationship in late 2023, after dating for just 18 months. Both of them have confirmed the split.

When Eddie introduced his new girlfriend, people immediately noticed she looked a lot like his ex, Denise, and one fan bluntly asked if anyone else saw the resemblance.

Only for the star to reply: ‘Yeah I’m the happiest I’ve ever been… well spotted!’. 

Eddie spoke to DailyMail in 2023 about the breakup, saying it was difficult, like most splits. He explained that it took a toll on him, and to cope, he really focused on exercise, which is a major part of his life.

Last July, he seemingly referenced his past relationship on Instagram. He posted a story with a voiceover that said, ‘It’s better to be by yourself than to be with someone who makes you feel lonely’.

He had previously called Denise the ‘worst detective ever’ because she discovered his infidelity by finding photos and messages on his iPad.

He shared a black-and-white photo of Inspector Clouseau, a famously clumsy and ineffective French detective. The message alongside the picture made many people think he was subtly criticizing his former partner’s abilities as an investigator.
