Denise van Outen, 50, reveals she 'isn't fussed' about finding The One and says she's not chasing love after learning to be 'content on her own'

As a dedicated follower and admirer of Denise van Outen‘s career and personal journey, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of empathy for this extraordinary woman. Her life, much like a rollercoaster, has seen its fair share of ups and downs, heartbreaks, and triumphs.

Denise van Outen has revealed that she is ‘not fussed’ about being in a relationship right now.

50-year-old TV host, previously in a relationship with Jimmy Barba until their separation in October 2023, recently signed up for the private dating platform, Raya, during the first part of this year.

Currently, she’s gone out on a handful of dates, but she’s not rushing to find a new companion since she finds solace in her own company right now.

Speaking to Fabulous magazine following the conclusion of her engagement to Eddie Boxshall, whom she parted ways with in January 2022 after learning about his infidelity, she expressed: “At this point, I don’t have a strong preference one way or another.

I have a close friendship with Tamzin Outhwaite, and we’ve been discussing: ‘Aren’t we fortunate to simply enjoy living and not feel compelled to be in a romantic situation or connected to someone?’ I’ve come to appreciate solitude and find happiness within myself.

In this line of work, one often experiences intense pressure, and when mistakes occur, they become very noticeable to the public. This leads to concern about being perceived as a failure. It makes me ponder if others might question: ‘Why can’t she maintain a stable relationship? The past seems to repeat itself, but I’m no longer trying to retrace those steps.’

She mentioned that her relationship with Eddie ended prematurely due to his actions, which she found out about, and that aspect is what makes the split sad.

Denise expressed that she’s back to the starting point again, yet she’s maintaining a hopeful attitude and keeping her heart open.

Should the Celebrity Gogglebox star happen to discover a new romantic companion, she intends to maintain privacy about her relationship for a while, given that she shares a 14-year-old daughter named Betsy with her former spouse, Lee Mead.

Denise found love again with Jimmy Barba in July 2022 following her devastating split from Eddie.

That summer following her breakup with her unfaithful ex-partner Eddie, whom she had been with for seven years, Denise made their relationship with the 55-year-old property developer Jimmy known to the public.

In January 2022, she broke off her relationship with the commodities trader following the discovery of messages indicating his infidelity.

After their unexpected separation, it was rumored that Eddie had left Denise’s residence and was temporarily residing with friends instead.

After a six-month span, she made their relationship known to the public, having met Jimmy at the Grand Prix Ball, which was introduced to her by All Saints singer Shaznay Lewis. Following their travel plans, they spent their initial vacation together in Marbella.

In November 2023, Denise surprised her fans when she declared that she and her boyfriend Jimmy, with whom she’d shared an intense 18-month relationship, had parted ways.

She informed The Sun that they’ve chosen to go separate ways, yet they continue to be good friends, and their families and offspring maintain contact.

At that point, Eddie openly discussed with TopMob about his separation from Denise, acknowledging: “Most splits aren’t effortless, and I must say, they can be quite draining.

For me, maintaining such intense focus on something isn’t pleasant but exercise plays an enormous role in my daily life.
