Denise Richards steps out with ‘black eye’ days after cop confrontation at ex Aaron Phypers’ home

This week, Denise Richards caused worry when she was seen sporting a possible shiner in public, not long after a run-in with police at her former partner Aaron Phypers’ residence.

54-year-old actress, who recently ended her relationship with Phypers (age 52), obtained a temporary restraining order against him on July 16, following claims of prolonged physical and emotional mistreatment that he refutes.

However Richards was seen arriving at Phypers’ Calabasas home on Sunday before police were called.

In the midst of personal turmoil, Richards was spotted in Calabasas on Tuesday with a noticeable dark circle under one eye and a distinct mark below her chin.

Without any makeup, the celebrity appeared thoughtful as she walked, leading some to speculate about her visible marks on TMZ. However, these bruise-like appearances were explained by sources as simply the play of light and shadow. Additionally, it was reported that she had recently undergone microneedling and a PRP injection for cosmetic purposes.

Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Denise Richards for comment and has yet to hear back.

According to the sources, Richardson unexpectedly showed up at Physker’s residence last week and began pounding on the rear door, insisting to be allowed entry.

Phypers saw this and immediately left due to concern over the restraining order.

Philpers’ parents welcomed Richard inside, and it was asserted that she forcefully entered, asked for the dog, and angrily told his parents to vacate the premises, even pointing her finger at them.

According to the report, she is said to have physically attacked Brett Philips, throwing letters at him, and a photograph shows Brett near Richards’ parked Corvette while they were both waiting for the police to arrive.

Outside his home, Richards was observed having a conversation with three deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office. The authorities determined that no criminal activity had taken place, and no one was arrested as a result.

In a visibly emotional state, Phypers comforted his clearly upset mother following Richards’ visit – an incident that adds fuel to their contentious divorce proceedings and represents another dramatic turn of events.

Brett Berman, Richard’s divorce lawyer, clarified to Daily Mail that Ms. Richards did not breach the restraining order as she visited the house when Phypers was absent.

On August 3, 2025, Richards went into Mr. Phypers’ house when she found out he wasn’t there, as she needed to get her pets. Berman added. (Or: On August 3, 2025, after checking that Mr. Phypers was not at home, Richards entered the residence to fetch her dogs. Berman continued.)

Berman asserted that Richards acted after discovering that Mr. Phypers had euthanized one of her dogs without her awareness or consent.

Phypers firmly rejected the “completely untrue” allegations made by The Daily Mail, asserting that Denise intentionally slandered and destroyed what remains of the family with her deliberate actions.

He also asserted: “Following Denise’s decision to engage in a romantic liaison outside of her marriage – a liaison that was exposed to him no less than three separate occasions.

In California, individuals identified as the ‘protected party’ under a restraining order will face no legal consequences if they choose to communicate with the person who the order is directed against.

In my professional opinion, if a restriction is imposed upon me, I can leverage that order as proof to contest it more effectively should a similar situation arise in future legal disputes.

A week after Aaron submitted divorce documents on July 7th, Richard countered by asking for an emergency protective order, listing multiple claims of domestic abuse – accusations that Aaron has refuted.

In a subsequent turn of events, her ex-husband has refuted all accusations of abuse. Meanwhile, a confidant of Phypers shared with the Daily Mail that her black eye was instead caused by an accidental fall while under the influence of alcohol.

He mentioned that he’s anticipating a court hearing in August, where a judge will determine if a restriction is lifted. Until that decision, he’s prohibited from approaching his separated wife and their 14-year-old adopted daughter Eloise, whom he deeply cherishes and sorely misses.

In the wake of accusations made by Phyper, I find myself compelled to express my stance. Recently, it’s been claimed that she’s been involved in a multi-month relationship with a retired special forces operative known as Rudy Reyes.

In a comprehensive correspondence addressed to his ‘loved ones and confidants’, he asserted that Reyes had sent explicit images and videos of an adult nature, which included a graphic video depicting him in the nude engaging in self-stimulation.

During a private conversation with The Daily Mail, the husband of the Wild Things actress revealed that he discovered rumors of her suspected affair in April.

He shared that she had indicated she would end their relationship, but then he discovered she was deceiving him about a rendezvous with Rudy, who is 53 years old, which occurred at a Hilton Garden Inn in Burbank, California, the subsequent month.

He asserted that his finding of the May rendezvous sparked a heated disagreement over the Independence Day holiday, culminating in her destruction of his mobile device.

Until recently, Phypers ran the Malibu wellness center called Q360 Club, or Quantum 360, but he decided to close it down on October 1, 2024.

According to his petition for divorce, filed on July 7, he has not made any income since.

According to reports, Richard’s monthly income is estimated to be around $250,000, primarily derived from his activity on OnlyFans, television shows, endorsements, and appearances. This information was disclosed in a financial statement that he submitted, which was later obtained by the Daily Mail.

He’s asking for alimony as he claims his regular living costs amount to $105,000 per month, and he insists that they divide their production company, Smoke & Mirrors Entertainment, equally between the two of them.
