Denise Richards says Aaron Phypers’s father joined in on alleged abuse by calling her a ‘w***e’ in shock tirade

Denise Richards revealed the messy details about her breakup with Aaron Phypers, which became even more contentious when his father intervened.

On July 16, the ex-cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills submitted a petition for a restraining order, claiming that her separated husband had subjected her to prolonged incidents of both physical and psychological mistreatment over a number of years.

The action was taken a few days following Phypers, aged 51 (who denies the allegations), filing for divorce. She designated July 4th as the split’s official date and asked for alimony from Richards, who is 54 years old.

According to Denise, the same day was filled with a terrifying encounter that made her worry about her safety.

According to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com, Denise stated that she left their shared residence towards the end of 2023 due to escalating marital problems. She then shifted to a studio townhouse and informed Phypers that he was no longer allowed there – a boundary she asserted he constantly crossed.

On the Fourth of July, 2025, when Aaron was at the townhouse I was staying at, I informed him that his family needed to leave their family home, as Denise explained. This news made Aaron extremely angry. For about two hours, he came dangerously close to my face and shouted vulgar insults, using terms like ‘cowardly whore’ and ‘worthless trash,’ according to her application for a Domestic Violence Training Order.

She mentioned that he frequently gripped her left arm forcefully, in a threatening way, and further explained that although she begged him to depart, he’d temporarily calm down, only to erupt once more.

Following a delicate operation, Aaron’s behavior made me incredibly anxious to the extent that… I feared Aaron might cause harm severe enough to endanger my life.

Denise, who is 5’4”, noted that Aaron stands at 6’2” and weighs over 200 pounds. 

During the July 4 meeting, she stated, ‘On several occasions, I warned that I would contact the authorities, and Aaron responded angrily, “Go ahead, call the police. They won’t be able to touch me, and if they do, I’ll end up killing everyone.”‘

A little past 2:00 a.m. on the 5th of July, Denise claimed that Phypers forced his way into another townhouse situated across the alley and asked for her phone.

I’d welcome the arrival of the police, as I’m ready to destroy everything if they attempt to apprehend me.

Denise mentioned that he departed just as she was preparing to press the call button, yet not without shouting, “You’ll vanish!

On the same day, Denise asserts that Aaron, accompanied by his father, repeated the supposed threats, and once more raised his voice at her.

She stated that he repeatedly used offensive language, calling her a derogatory name, and aggressively struck the brim of my hat with the back of his hand, causing it to be knocked off my head.

She added that she was ‘scared, terrified and fearful for my life.’

In the evening, as Denise found herself in the garage of her studio townhouse, she mentioned that she spotted Aaron once more.

Upon Aaron’s abrupt command to “leave this place right now” and hand over my phone, I felt an instant wave of fear.

I quickly climbed the steps, but he followed closely behind, catching hold of my arms and pulling me down forcefully onto the stairs. The impact was harsh, causing me considerable discomfort.

In addition, Denise claimed that Aaron threatened to hack into her phone and iCloud account, with the intention of releasing confidential data publicly.

She mentioned that Steven Phypers, his father, jumped into the conversation, shouting that he would publicly label her as a ‘prostitute’ and disclose the contents of her mobile device to the media.

She mentioned that Aaron swiftly took off with her laptop, handbag (holding her identification documents and credit cards), as well as her passport.

‘I trailed after Aaron towards his vehicle, yet I failed to keep up with him. In the absence of an alternative, I headed to my daughter’s residence for safety reasons as I lacked the means to stay at a hotel due to Aaron having my wallet containing all necessary payment methods.’
