Denise Richards is seen with daughter Eloise, 14, for the FIRST time since Aaron Phypers’ shock adoption claim

Denise Richards maintained a strong demeanor while going out with her daughter Eloise, marking their initial public appearance since Aaron Phypers stated that his adoption of the teenager had not been officially finalized.

Over the holiday weekend, the actress, aged 54, was spotted shopping for groceries at Erewhon in LA, dressed casually in a tight-fitting purple tee, light-colored denims, and a trucker cap.

Instead of the original statement,

The ex-star from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills chose to cover her eyes with large sunglasses as she wheeled a grocery cart filled with shopping bags towards her car.

At that moment, Eloise, who was 14 years old, appeared charming in a black dress, sipping a smoothie while standing next to her mother.

Their excursion took place only a few days following Phypers’ assertion, detailed in recently revealed court records, claiming that Richards neglected to correctly submit adoption documentation, even though he had previously signed the papers several years earlier.

He asserted that he no longer has legal custody of his daughter, despite raising her as if she were his own, and referred to Eloise as the daughter he had formed a bond with for nearly a decade.

Richards adopted Eloise as an infant in 2011. 

The teenager, diagnosed with a rare chromosome condition, became part of the Richards family, joining Sami, aged 21, and Lola, aged 20 – daughters from Denise’s previous marriage to Charlie Sheen.

Phypers has always called Eloise his daughter on social media. 

Back in 2019, he posted a picture on Instagram showing them enjoying each other’s company, and his caption had the tag #FatherDaughterDay.

For quite some time, Richards often posted pictures of Phypers with Eloise on various occasions, such as a heartwarming snap of him gently plaiting her hair.

In the year 2018, Phypers tied the knot with Richards, and in the year that followed, he made a public announcement about adopting Eloise. He expressed his feelings to People magazine saying, “It wasn’t really a decision; it just is. She’s my sweetheart. I love her. I consider her as mine.

The dispute over adoption is a new development in their bitter divorce process, which has previously involved allegations of abuse, court-ordered protective measures, and disagreements regarding pet ownership.

Richard shared about the separation recently in a heartfelt Instagram video, openly discussing how he experienced a challenging summer and describing the breakup as a particularly tough period.

She mentioned that there’s undeniably some situation happening, which she was referring to as her divorce,” he expressed. “I must say, going through a divorce is incredibly tough… unfortunately, this isn’t my first time, it’s my second divorce,” she shared, a renowned figure from the silver screen.

The actress who played the Wild Thing character also mentioned that she had never anticipated their divorce following her separation from Charlie.

As a deeply invested admirer, let me share with you my current predicament: These past times have been quite challenging, and there are intricate facets of my divorce that demand a certain discretion, which I promise to disclose when the moment feels truly appropriate – for now, I’m immersed in sorting through these complexities and navigating this phase. ‘It has not been easy, so your messages me a lot,’ she said to her fans.

Phypers and Richards were married for six years before he filed for divorce on July 7.

Subsequently, she alleged that he had physically abused her, resulting in a temporary restraining order being issued against him on July 16. However, he has refuted her allegations.

Phypers previously claimed Richards had shown no interest in their pets for the last two years.

Currently, Richard’s estranged spouse is subject to a court order that keeps him at least 100 yards distant from her. Therefore, when she unexpectedly appeared at his residence to retrieve the dog, he promptly exited the premises.

Instead, based on audio acquired by People, the emergency dispatcher reported that Aaron expressed concerns about his parents’ safety after departing.

As reported by TMZ, authorities arrived at the scene after the actress forcefully entered and demanded the dog, shouting at Aaron’s parents to vacate the premises and pointing her finger in their direction.
