Aaron Phypers alleges Denise Richards lied about what he did to stop receiving financial support from her.
According to recent legal filings in Los Angeles, 52-year-old Phypers claims that Richards tried to get a restraining order against him to sabotage his attempt to receive alimony from the court.
Honestly, in court, I explained that I truly feel these domestic violence claims are just a tactic. It seems to me like the whole thing is being used to try and prevent me from receiving the financial support I’m entitled to as part of the divorce.
When Phypers filed for divorce from the actress in June, he also requested financial support from her.
The 54-year-old actress from Downers Grove, Illinois, has filed court documents requesting that her husband be ordered to provide financial support and be prevented from attempting to collect any money from her.
Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Richards for further comment on the story.

Phypers testified in court that he’s currently unemployed and that Richards has been bothering him about money, even though she earns the majority of the income.
According to court documents obtained by People magazine, Phypers stated that she is the one earning money and therefore should be providing financial support.
Phypers testified that Richards continues to call him, suggesting she is the one initiating conflict in the relationship.
According to court filings, Phypers claims Richards repeatedly called him and encouraged family and friends to do the same, to the point of harassment. He argues this behavior proves she isn’t afraid of him and is actually the one being aggressive.
Phypers argued in court that Richards’ frequent calls prove she isn’t afraid of him, even though she has accused him of domestic violence.
According to court filings, Phypers claims Richards secretly put an AirTag on his car to keep track of where he went.
Phypers testified in court that Richards physically assaulted and harassed him repeatedly during their six-year marriage.
On September 8th, Richards went to court for the first time as part of her divorce proceedings from her husband, Phypers.
According to court documents obtained by Daily Mail, the judge permitted Richards to return to the Los Angeles County home she previously shared with Phypers.

The judge allowed Richards to briefly return to her home this past Saturday to collect her and her mother’s personal items, including her dogs, as stated in court documents.
However, the court also told Phypers to stay at least 100 yards away from the property. This order was first put in place back in July when the actress from Starship Troopers obtained a temporary restraining order against him.
Court records obtained by Daily Mail show that a request for a restraining order filed by Richards wasn’t processed until October.
The court order prevents Phypers from doing anything that would block Richards from entering or accessing the property.
Okay, so this is HUGE! The judge actually ordered Michael to give Erika back her iPhone and her black Macbook! She said he just *took* them, like, without asking, and honestly, I’m so glad the court is making him return them. It’s about time someone stood up for her! I mean, those are her personal things, and he had no right! I’m just so relieved she’s getting them back, it’s a total win for Team Erika!
Court records show Phypers was instructed to return the items to Richards by the end of the day on September 9th. He previously stated in court that he no longer has the phone and computer.
The court stated that if Mr. Phypers doesn’t have the requested items, he must submit a written statement confirming this.
Richards and Phypers disagreed about whether Phypers owns any guns. He claims he doesn’t, but she testified to the court that he does.
Richards’ lawyers argued to the court that delaying the case any further would harm Denise and prevent her from getting the peace of mind she deserves with the domestic violence restraining order she requested.
Phypers initiated divorce proceedings from Richards on July 7th, stating they had already separated on July 4th.

He told the court that ‘irreconcilable differences’ were at the heart of their split.
Since then, both sides have made serious public accusations against each other. Richards claimed in legal documents that her soon-to-be ex-husband was repeatedly abusive throughout their relationship, but Phypers has refuted those claims.
Phypers claimed Richards had an affair, physically attacked him, and broke his phone.
In a message to loved ones, which was later shared by Page Six, Phypers asked for help for the actress, stating she was struggling with prescription drug abuse.
Phypers explained that this has been a long-standing problem, going back over two decades. He said his wife isn’t eating proper meals and he’s seen her collapse due to substance use, which is endangering her and others, even when she’s driving with their 14-year-old daughter, Eloise.
Brett Berman’s lawyer refuted the claims, stating to People that after being served with a temporary restraining order, Phypers continued to harass Richards by sharing private data taken from her phone and laptop.
Denise Richards has three daughters: Sami and Lola, who are 21 and 20 respectively and share the same father, actor Charlie Sheen, and Eloise, 14, whom she adopted before marrying Marcus Phypers.
