Aaron Phypers, who is separated from Denise Richards, must pay a large sum of money – over $100,000 – because he didn’t respond to a fraud lawsuit filed by Rupert Perry, a man whose spouse has passed away.
According to TMZ, a judge in Los Angeles County court ordered Phypers to pay around $160,000 after they failed to respond to a legal case.
This happened after the practitioner of ‘frequency medicine’ received $5,000 each month in spousal support from Richards.
In November 2024, Perry filed a lawsuit against Phypers, claiming fraud and breach of contract. This came after Perry’s wife, Elina Katsioula-Beall, had been a client at Phypers’ Malibu wellness center and passed away from sarcoma cancer in May 2024.
In June 2023, Katsioula-Beall turned to Phypers’ wellness center for a ‘stem cell treatment’ after conventional medical treatments hadn’t worked for her.
In a lawsuit, Perry alleges that Phypers told his client the stem cell treatments at his center could either cure her cancer or significantly reduce her symptoms. Perry claims Phypers guaranteed a 98% success rate and offered a 50% refund if the treatment didn’t work.
According to Perry, the treatment was unsuccessful, leading his wife to request a $63,000 refund – which represented half of the total cost.
Phypers reportedly didn’t respond to Katsioula-Beall’s requests for her money back and continued to avoid payment even after her death.
His holistic healing center, Quantum 360, reportedly shuttered its doors in early 2025.
Since separating in July 2024, Phypers, 53, and Richards, 55, have been locked in a bitter and complicated divorce. The legal fight includes disagreements over money and property, and both individuals have accused the other of domestic violence.
Richards was granted a five-year restraining order requiring him to stay 100 yards away from her.
On February 26th, the court ordered Richards to cover both temporary spousal support and the legal fees of his ex-wife, Phypers.
According to People magazine, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is required to pay $25,000 towards the legal fees in her ex-husband’s divorce and another $5,000 to cover the cost of a forensic accountant.
She needs to make payments of $10,000 each month in March, April, and May of 2026.
The court ordered Richards to begin paying his ex-spouse $5,000 each month in temporary support, starting on March 5, 2026. This will continue until the court decides otherwise.
The actress recently made headlines after discussing her facelift with Allure magazine, revealing she had the procedure in June 2025.
Richards explained she wished she hadn’t changed anything and wanted to restore her appearance to how it used to be. She admitted she was very scared, explaining that because she’s been recognized publicly since she was young, a facelift would be impossible to conceal.
She added, ‘It is night and day. It’s shocking, actually.’
