Denise Richards Drops Jaw-Dropping Truth About Co-Parenting with Charlie Sheen!

Denise Richards has opened up about her relationship with ex-husband Charlie Sheen. 

On the Whine Down with Jenna Kramer podcast, Denise Richards, the actress discussing her show “Denise Richards & Her Wild Things,” mentioned that she and her ex-spouse have limited interaction.

In the past, this pair – joined in matrimony between 2002 and 2006 – each held unique perspectives on raising their daughters, Sami aged 21 and Lola at 19.

To put it simply,” said the actress, aged 54, to the former One Tree Hill star, “what we have isn’t traditional co-parenting. I handle things my way, he handles them his way.

Speaking about her relationship with the 59-year-old actor from Two and a Half Men, she stated, “We have children together, but our bond isn’t as close as I’d like it to be. I consider him friendly, but I yearn for us to be true friends.

The actress from Paper Empire expressed a desire for constant communication and mutual support between them, especially regarding their daughters. However, she noted that their relationship doesn’t allow for such frequent interaction.

Perhaps in the future, but for now, there’s nothing to report. We don’t have any disagreements, which is wonderful.

The star from The Bold and The Beautiful expressed that he has consistently supported the idea of everything being harmonious, having strong friendships, and uniting families since his ex-wife and him had two sons together. He further clarified that he didn’t want the girls to feel as if they had to take sides in any way.

Richards is also mom to 13-year-old Eloise, whom she adopted.  

As a devoted mother when my daughters were young, I always made an effort to project a strong, positive image for them, despite the challenges our family faced due to their father’s battles with substance abuse and legal issues, including allegations of domestic assault. It was difficult to conceal my feelings towards him in their presence, but I chose not to speak negatively about him and held back at times when it seemed nearly impossible.

I’m unsure if my actions may have been detrimental to them at the time, considering they are now growing up and learning things that they weren’t aware of before.

Back in 2015, the actor known as Bookie publicly shared that he had been living with HIV for quite some time. However, due to the effectiveness of antiretroviral medications, the virus is now untraceable within his system.

Since 2017, the star of the show “Mad Families” has remained sober. He admitted that reaching a point where he was too intoxicated to take one of his daughters to an appointment served as the decisive moment for him to stop drinking.

Sheen credits that decision with making him a better father to all of his children.

He currently leads a steady life, focusing mainly on fatherhood duties, particularly taking care of his 16-year-old twin sons Max and Bob, as shared with People in December 2023, who he shares them with his ex Brooke Mueller.

After making amends, Richard and Sheen have reached a point where he made an appearance on her recent reality TV show that premiered on Bravo on Tuesday.

During the episode, former partners have a shared dinner with their respective daughters, and Charlie offers guidance to Lola on navigating celebrity life.
