Demi Moore has received her first-ever Oscar nomination for The Substance.
The well-known actress, aged 62, has been recognized with a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role. This recognition is for her portrayal of Elisabeth Sparkle, a renowned aerobics instructor who resorts to an illicit drug that supposedly transforms its user into a ‘younger, more attractive, and virtually flawless’ individual.
She is set to challenge Cynthia Erivo, Karla Sofía Gascon, Mikey Madison, and Fernanda Torres in a contest for the award.
On Thursday, the long-awaited list of nominees for the upcoming Oscars was finally unveiled, following a delay due to the destructive wildfires in Los Angeles.
