Demi Moore’s Shocking Diary: Cocaine, Affairs, and Secrets Revealed!
In my role as an ardent admirer, I recall Demi Moore, a promising actress with Oscar potential, penning down intimate reflections about life. These writings encompassed her struggles with substance abuse such as cocaine and alcohol, and her uninhibited love life, offering an incredibly candid insight into her personal journey.
Her contemplations were so personal that her journal was kept securely inside a storage space at Santa Monica Airport, which her second husband, Bruce Willis, utilized as a storage unit.
However, many years following their 2000 divorce, the hangar was subsequently emptied, as Willis (now battling dementia) found it necessary.
Demi’s personal diary, labeled as ‘Demi Private Memoirs,’ ended up in a trash bin, and a worker at the airport later found its scattered pages inside.
Currently, at 62 years old, Moore is widely anticipated to win an Oscar along with the Golden Globe and SAG awards this year. The Daily Mail has unveiled the personal reflections of the driven actress during her youth.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share my insights about Demi’s 2019 bestselling memoir, Inside Out. While the book offers an unfiltered account of her vibrant youth, it doesn’t delve as deeply as the private notes she penned – notes that, given their content, may have been influenced by the mind-altering substances she used. These handwritten entries were at times clear and organized, but other times were barely legible. Some had dates, others didn’t, making them a fascinating yet somewhat enigmatic glimpse into her life.
During the mid-1980s, the diary was penned while the author was romantically involved with actor Emilio Estevez, following the dissolution of her initial marriage to musician Freddy Moore.

She reveals she cheated on them both, including on the night before she married Moore in 1981.
In a written account, she mentioned that Freddy and she had been living together for a period of two years. His divorce was completed, and he was eager to marry immediately. At that time, she had recently celebrated her eighteenth birthday.
The evening prior to my wedding, I picked up a bottle of champagne. I visited a friend’s place, someone I was working on a movie project with – unfortunately, he roused me from sleep at 10:30 the following morning. However, I was supposed to be all set by one o’clock.
On my wedding day, I was late, feeling remorseful from the previous night’s excesses, and hungover. The subsequent three years only worsened as I turned to alcohol and cocaine for solace. I engaged in multiple extramarital affairs, viewing them as a means of escaping my circumstances without being discovered.
I’m deeply ashamed – it’s not just about my drug use, but also my treatment of others. I never fully grasped the extent of my self-centeredness and unjust actions.
In a heartfelt manner, the Oscar-nominated Moore penned about the profound affection she holds for Estevez. This sentiment was expressed in relation to her role as an aging actress who resorted to a mysterious potion to regain her youthful appearance, only to face chilling repercussions.
In the 1980s, she was romantically involved with the son of actor Martin Sheen, who was part of the group of rising young stars known as the ‘Brat Pack’. This relationship took place from 1985 to 1986.
Whenever he phoned, her heart leaped with excitement, and when anticipating his visits, she was overwhelmed with joy that she could barely contain.

However, her struggle with substance abuse disrupted their plans. On a cross-country road trip, an event dated January 23, 1986, saw her losing consciousness after consuming a kamikaze cocktail, a mix of vodka, triple sec, and lime juice, in their room.
Well, it seems my vow to avoid strong spirits has already been broken,” she admitted, finding herself in a state of intoxication, then waking up with a hangover, disoriented, feeling isolated, yearning for the next drink as an escape from her distress.
She initially stated that Estevez hadn’t informed her about what she had done, and she couldn’t recall the details. However, a few days after the incident, she performed again, this time in front of a larger crowd.
‘I’m surprised he didn’t kill me on the spot,’ she wrote.
After a woman filed a $2 million paternity lawsuit against Estevez in 1986, she ultimately decided to end their engagement. A year later, he acknowledged the paternity of her two children.
In 1986, a woman sued Estevez for paternity, seeking $2 million. This led to the termination of their engagement. He admitted being the father of her two children a year afterwards.
Lastly:
A lawsuit for $2 million in paternity was filed against Estevez in 1986. As a result, he ended his engagement. A year later, he confessed to being the father of her two children.
Demi began her journal with the words: “Before I even entered the world, I had been wronged. My biological father, Charles Harmon, was abandoned by my mother a fortnight before my birth.
‘Initially, I was named Elizabeth Faith Harmon. However, that TV show remained a secret from my everyday life until I had a conversation with my mother when I was fourteen years old.’
Back in 1963, I stumbled upon a marriage certificate, and given that I was born in the previous year, it sparked my curiosity. So, I began delving into some intriguing questions.

Instead of saying “She went on to say her mother, Virginia Guynes, who was just 18 when she married, left Texas and returned to Roswell, New Mexico, ‘where her high school sweetheart was waiting'”, you could also say:
“She mentioned that her mother, Virginia Guynes, got married at the age of 18 and then moved back from Texas to Roswell, New Mexico, because her boyfriend from high school was there.
It appears that my name has been altered – perhaps for the sake of anonymity, which includes myself, my parents (who may be considered the guilty parties), and also because Danny Guyns desired for me to carry his initials DGG.
She recorded a tumultuous upbringing characterized by excessive parental alcohol consumption, constant quarrels, and numerous relocations across the nation, often due to forced departures.
One night she revealed that she heard her mother crying hysterically.
I rose from my bed to investigate the commotion. There, I found my mother attempting to gulp down an entire bottle of pills.
In a different phrasing, here is the sentence: “Despite my father’s attempts to prevent her, he couldn’t manage on his own. Upon spotting me, he requested that I pin her down while I retrieved the pills from her mouth.
Demi wrote that that was ‘the first of my suicide saves’.
In my fervent enthusiasm for understanding their story, I can’t help but share this heart-wrenching tale about a connection so tumultuous that it played out over two marriages and ended tragically. This tumultuous relationship belonged to Danny’s parents, as they walked down the aisle twice only to part ways again – all before Danny took his life in 1980.
In my journal, I record our frequent visits to local taverns with my mom, and I can’t help but express my delight when people remark that I don’t appear old enough to be Demi’s mother.
She pondered, “Why is it that,” she penned. “At the age of 14 and a half, I appeared to be 25. Most often, I was given service without question.
However, more frequently than not, Virginia tended to carry things a bit too far, making it necessary for others to help extricate her due to her excessive intoxication and boisterous behavior.

Demi wrote that alcohol was a fact of life from a very young age.
In my upbringing, it was common to witness adults under the influence of alcohol. I can’t pinpoint exactly when I started realizing that what they were drinking was not for me, but I soon became determined to understand more about it.
She asserted that she had her first sip of beer when she was just three years old, during a family vacation. At around the same age, one of her cousins (who was either nine or ten) and she were given a marijuana joint and a six-pack by an aunt on the same trip.
‘I just thought I was so f***ing cute and oh so grown up,’ she wrote.
Later during our journey, we gathered for a meeting with some Boy Scouts, free spirits, and my relatives. We formed a circle where everyone took turns sharing a cannabis cigarette – as the responsible adult, I certainly participated too.
A few years later Demi and her family moved to Redondo Beach, California.
‘My new character was now a smoker, drinker and pot smoker.
She wrote, “My partner and I didn’t pay attention to what we were drinking; we only drank to become intoxicated…To put it mildly, I became quite friendly with a white bowl if you catch my drift, referring to vomiting into the toilet.
At the age of 14, Demi experienced her first Quaalude. It was also at this age that she admitted losing her virginity, during a trip to Mexico.
‘I found a guy I really liked. He was nice and a motorcycle champ – wasn’t I the hot shot.’
She noted that the encounter held no significance. However, if such a trivial act prevented rejection, then it seemed surprisingly simple.

In her memoir, Moore candidly recounted the complex bond she shared with her mother, which ranged from affection to conflict. Remarkably, they managed to mend their relationship before Moore’s mother passed away at the age of 54 in 1998. She didn’t shy away from sharing a startling event that occurred when she was fifteen years old, with unflinching honesty.
She also jotted it down in her journal: there was a ‘mature, very affluent gentleman expressing interest in taking me out’.
Virginia was extremely eager, comparable to a startled bat, diving right into the opportunity. Consequently, each day following school, he’d be there to fetch me, requiring me to spend time with him, until my upcoming acting class commenced.
In her message, she expressed feeling extremely agitated, stating that despite her best efforts to avoid it, he managed to persuade her into spending the night together on a particular occasion.
I earnestly plead with my mother not to leave, as she repeatedly said only for a short while more. It makes me question whether she understood the hardship I was experiencing.
This individual often occupied that spot, expressing comments such as “You’re not worthy of meeting my daughters; your social standing isn’t refined enough.
‘Well, it ended up basically that I was whored by my own mother for five hundred dollars.
‘I felt so cheap and humiliated – as soon as she got her money I was gone.’
After spending half a year with my grandma in the charming town of Roswell, I then reunited with my mom in Seattle and subsequently ventured westwards to sunny California. Here, I immersed myself in acting lessons and eventually became a part of the esteemed Elite Model Agency.
As a dedicated follower, I took on minor film parts and even joined the cast of the popular daytime drama, General Hospital. However, amidst this professional progression, my personal struggles with substance abuse persisted, marked by ongoing drug use and excessive drinking.
In the midst of filming, it eventually overtook her while she was starring in the iconic Brat Pack film, St. Elmo’s Fire, that marked her major breakthrough.
In the same cast as Emilio Estevez and Rob Lowe, among others, she portrayed Jules, a lively yet troubled young bank executive with a penchant for alcohol.
She wrote, ‘I secured a role due to the merit of my work instead of my appearance, which signified a significant step forward in my career.’
But she was told any more drugs, and she would be out.
‘I must have really wanted to fail because I went right out and started using.’

Ultimately, Joel Schumacher, the movie’s director, persuaded her to seek treatment in a rehabilitation center. The film turned out to be successful, paving the way for her rise to stardom as she continued her journey.
Throughout the 1980s and ’90s, she was among the most prosperous and highly-compensated actresses in Hollywood, often referred to as “Gimme Moore.” She starred in numerous box office successes such as About Last Night, Ghost, A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal, and Disclosure.
Her professional life temporarily took a step back as she focused on raising her three daughters with Bruce Willis, yet she frequently found herself in the spotlight: her divorce from the Die Hard actor, a six-year marriage to Ashton Kutcher who was significantly younger, and a relapse during her 40s following years of sobriety.
Now, she’s experiencing a revival in her career during its later stages, which has earned her the acclaim from critics that she hadn’t received beforehand.
Or:
Lately, she’s been enjoying a career resurgence near the end of her professional life, and it’s this phase that’s finally garnered her the praise from critics that she previously lacked.
On January 20, 1986, Demi penned down her aspirations for the future in her diary. Among them were tying the knot, possibly welcoming two kids, and maintaining integrity and sincerity throughout her life.
Additionally, she expressed her aspiration to attain the status of a greatly esteemed actress, with the phrase ‘Oscar Winning’ included.
On Sunday night at the Dolby Theater in LA, that wish might finally come true.
