Demi Moore Stuns in Dazzling Gown at 2025 BAFTAs at 62!

2025 found me absolutely spellbound as I laid eyes upon Demi Moore, radiantly gracing the red carpet at the BAFTAs held at London’s Royal Festival Hall. Her breathtaking gown dazzled like no other!

The actress, 62, showed off her amazing figure in the colourful sequin halterneck backless number.

She stood tall in a pair of high-heeled shoes, and carried her items in a coordinating sequined handbag.

Loosely flowing her long, dark hair, Demi adorned her elegant gown with a pair of sparkling silver drop earrings and a coordinating silver bangle.

Demi left her long, dark locks untied and added sophistication to her glamorous dress by wearing a pair of silver drop earrings and a matching bracelet.

The Ghost star flashed her gorgeous smile as she posed up a storm on the star-studded red carpet.

Demi, who received her debut acting honor at the Globes for her performance in Substance, is now up for the Leading Actress award alongside Cynthia Erivo from Wicked, aged 38, and Saoirse Ronan, aged 30, for the Outrun.

2025 EE BAFTA Awards is back for a captivating evening filled with entertainment, honoring the outstanding films of the year and the gifted artists who breathe life into them.

For six years, the glitzy event was housed at the Royal Albert Hall. However, in 2023, it found a new dwelling, shifting to the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall. This is where it will resume its grandeur once more.

The EE BAFTA Film Awards encompass 25 competitive categories which are decided by BAFTA members.

The program is going to present some thrilling fresh developments, among them is a new section for Children’s & Family Films that will honor exceptional movies with broad appeal across different age groups.

For the first time in five years, a fresh film category has been introduced, signifying that we’re presenting a brand-new EE BAFTA Film Award after five years.

A fresh change has been made to the voting system for the Outstanding British Film category, which now includes a revised method for casting votes.

In the Thriller Conclave, a remarkable achievement was reached as it earned a total of twelve nominations in all categories. On the other hand, Emilia Perez garnered eleven nominations, and The Brutalist received nine.

After returning to its homeland, Conclave has earned double the number of awards nominations at this year’s British Academy Film Awards compared to what it received at the Golden Globe Awards held in Los Angeles last month.

In simpler terms, this captivating mystery film features Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, and Isabella Rossellini in its cast. The plot revolves around a clandestine and intense election for a new Pope, where power struggles, personal ambitions, and hidden secrets come to a head among the competing cardinals.

The winner at the Golden Globes was outperformed by the Spanish drama “Emilia Perez,” which received the second most BAFTA nominations, totaling 11, following its acquisition of 10 awards during the American award show.

Once more, Gladiator 2 finds itself overlooked by award committees, as it didn’t receive recognition in the Best Film category, and the talented Irish actor, Paul Mescal, aged 28, was omitted from the BAFTA nominee list for Best Actor.

62-year-old Demi Moore, who earned her initial acting award at the Globes for her work in Substance, has been nominated in the Leading Actress category, joining fellow nominees Cynthia Erivo from Wicked (age 38) and Saoirse Ronan (age 30), for the Outrun.

Movie experts think that being listed for the BAFTAs could boost the Ghost actress’s chances of winning her initial Oscar.

In other BAFTA nominations, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin from Succession are set to compete against each other in the category of Supporting Actor. Their outstanding performances, one in A Real Pain and the other in the Trump biopic titled The Apprentice, have earned them this recognition.

Simultaneously, Adrien Brody’s movie “The Brutalist” has earned nine BAFTA nominations. This is followed by the films “Dune 2” and “Wicked”, each receiving seven nominations.

In the 2024 movie “Back To Black,” Marisa Abela’s performance as Amy Winehouse has earned her the front-runner position among nominees for the EE BAFTA Rising Star Award.

On Tuesday, the following five individuals were revealed to be in contention: Marisa, Jharrel Jerome (known for his work in “Unstoppable”), David Jonsson from “Alien: Romulus”, Mikey Madison of “Anora”, and Nabhaan Rizwan who starred in “In Camera”.

Coincidentally, David, Nabhaan and Marisa were all stars of BBC drama Industry.

I, as a devoted supporter, am thrilled to share that according to Sara Putt, BAFTA’s chairwoman, the 2022 BAFTA nominations list presents an exceptional array of diversity.

She noted: “Additionally, if you examine the top 10 films under ‘Best Film’, it seems that there are six distinct movie genres represented within them.

In a variety of genres, such as science fiction, comedy, horror, straight drama, and even musicals, there are some surprising nominations. Among these, the horror genre stands out with the nominees like Nosferatu, The Substance, and Heretic.

As a devoted movie enthusiast, I must say, the range and depth of this film collection, stretching from ‘Wicked’ to ‘Kneecap’, is nothing short of breathtaking. The variety is truly exhilarating!

The prize is considered a stepping stone towards achieving A-list fame; past recipients include Tom Holland, James McAvoy, Tom Hardy, Lashana Lynch, and Kristen Stewart.

David Tennant will take to the stage to host the BAFTAs for a second year in a row.

The actor, 53, first hosted the awards show last year, taking over from Richard E Grant.

Without a doubt, he’ll be showcasing his charm and wit after a highly praised initial performance that captivated more than 3.8 million home viewers.

Over 20 million times, the ceremony highlights were viewed on social media platforms, as fans eagerly watched the events from home.

This year’s BAFTA ceremony won’t see the usual presence of Prince William, who serves as its president, and his wife Catherine, as they are not anticipated to be in attendance.

Last year, it was Kate who was unable to attend the awards due to the fact that she had announced earlier, on March 22, via a video message, that she was dealing with cancer. On the other hand, Prince William made his appearance on the red carpet all by himself at the Baftas.

The 2025 EE Bafta Film Awards will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7pm on Sunday February 16.
