Demi Moore Shares Heartfelt Insight on Bruce Willis’ ‘Unwavering’ Support Amid Dementia Battle

Demi Moore shared insights on the lasting connection she has with ex-spouse Bruce Willis following his dementia revelation, providing a peek at how their relationship has changed over time.

For six years between 1989 and 2000, the 62-year-old actress who was recently titled People’s Most Beautiful Person, and the 69-year-old Moonlighting actor were husband and wife. They are parents to Rumer (age 36), Scout (age 33), and Tallulah (age 31).

Though Demi and Bruce parted ways years ago, love found them both again.

In 2005, Demi tied the knot with Ashton Kutcher, but their marriage concluded with a completed divorce in 2013. On the other hand, Bruce found long-term contentment with model Emma Heming and they share two daughters named Mabel (age 12) and Evelyn (age 10).

However, even though the currents of love may change, Moore asserts that I’m especially thankful because, irrespective of how our external romantic relationship evolved, we’ve managed to stay a family in different guises, as she shared with People on Tuesday.

‘The foundation of making our children our priority has never wavered.’

Currently, she considers her loved ones – her family, her pets, her kids, and the wonderful, caring individuals in her circle – as some of her most treasured blessings.

‘I feel really so lucky,’ she told the outlet.

This touching scene follows Demi disclosing that they see Bruce on a regular basis each week, underscoring their steadfast dedication to their family bond.

‘We will always be a family, just in a different form,’ Moore told Variety.

Moore expressed that it might inspire others to know that even after a divorce, there can be a unique way to maintain a friendship like the one between them and Willis.

‘There is life after divorce. There is a way to co-parent with love,’ Demi explained.

In February 2023, it was disclosed by Willis’ family that he had been diagnosed with Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD), which led to his retirement from acting earlier due to issues with speech and understanding language, a condition known as aphasia.

Since then, the Hollywood icon has been showered with love and unwavering support from his family.

Last month, Emma openly discussed their experiences, making it clear that they don’t hide the truth of Bruce’s situation from their little girls.

In a conversation with Town & Country Magazine, Heming shared that this illness is often incorrectly diagnosed, overlooked, and poorly understood.

She acknowledged that reaching a diagnosis was crucial, as it allowed her to understand what frontotemporal dementia entails and subsequently educate their children about it.

Emma stated, “I’ve always been honest with them, as they’ve witnessed Bruce’s decline throughout their lives. I’m not attempting to protect them from this reality.

In the meantime, it was announced that Demi had been chosen as People magazine’s annual selection for the Most Beautiful Person. She expressed her views on growing older and embracing self-acceptance.

She mentioned in her interview that she feels more at ease with who she is now than ever before, highlighting the liberation that comes from accepting and loving every aspect of herself completely.

Despite occasional bouts of self-doubt, such as wondering “Oh, how old do I look?”, Moore understands that these fleeting emotions do not determine her worth.

‘It doesn’t define my value or who I am,’ she explained.
