Demi Moore, 61, is a bare-faced beauty as she holds her dog when landing in Toronto for TIFF… after discussing youth obsession
As a seasoned observer of Hollywood and its ever-evolving landscape, I find myself captivated by the journey of Demi Moore, a true icon who has graced our screens for decades. Her latest venture, Landman, showcases her versatility and tenacity that have become her trademarks in the industry.
Demi Moore was a bare-faced beauty as she held on to her dog Pilaf at an airport on Thursday.
In a black jacket, striped shirt, jeans, and boots, the 61-year-old Hollywood legend made her entrance at Toronto’s Pearson Airport in Canada
In town for the Toronto International Film Festival is the former partner of Ashton Kutcher. It’s there where she plans to showcase her latest film titled “The Substance”. This movie follows the story of a highly fitness-focused individual who, on their 50th birthday, unexpectedly loses their job
Subsequently, she decides to try an experimental medication that claims to enhance her youthful appearance, with the aim of getting her old job back
Following a discussion on the global fascination with youth, as featured in the latest edition of Variety magazine, the film legend spoke up
She openly acknowledged to Variety that she isn’t flawless. Occasionally, she might gaze at a picture and feel as if she appears older, or express similar thoughts. However, she has managed to cope with such feelings
A comment from a stranger many years ago helped her cope.
Moore once shared, “Years ago, a person I didn’t know told me something that’s stayed with me. They said, ‘You’ll always fall short,'” he reflected
At first that sounds unkind, but there was more.
She commented, “You won’t ever feel quite enough, but you’ll come to understand your value when you stop comparing yourself to others.”
Currently, she’s putting in significantly more hours than usual, all due to the fact that she’s setting her own standards within the Hollywood industry
In her conversation with Matt Donnelly, she mentioned that a recurring focus throughout her career has been questioning established notions and breaking through self-imposed boundaries
As an individual who’s embracing the journey of penning my own narrative, I find myself in a unique phase where the story isn’t merely being handed down based on age. Why should there be restrictions on how one looks or acts? The 60s today are far from what they used to be, and I relish the adventure of discovering my path along the way
She posed for the publication to promote her edgy new movie The Substance about a star who injects herself with a black market drug to look younger.
I find myself transformed into a lively, youthful charm, much like the character portrayed by Margaret Qualley. However, there are complications and peculiar occurrences that begin to unfold
The Substance comes out on September 20.
Elisabeth Sparkle is the star of a popular aerobics show.
She has had decades of massive success.
The icon faces a devastating blow on her 50th birthday as her boss fires her.
In the midst of her turmoil, she’s presented with a compound that claims it can elevate her to a superior version of herself within a lab setting
But it is experimental.
In the production, her co-stars include Qualley (the daughter of Andie MacDowell who previously acted alongside Moore in St. Elmo’s Fire), as well as Dennis Quaid
Moore told Interview magazine she was ‘moved’ when she read the movie’s script.
She found it extraordinarily innovative to delve into the topic of aging, societal expectations, and the influence of the idealized female image perpetuated by society, a pressure that many women, including herself, unknowingly conform to
In essence, she emphasized that the main theme revolves around self-inflicted harm, and she appreciated the literal portrayal of this concept – demonstrating how mental violence occurs when we mistreat ourselves and twist reality
‘It’s incredibly empowering to understand that our actions towards ourselves are choices we have the ability to change. We always retain the option to choose something new.’
‘And for those who aren’t looking for such a deep message, it’s just entertaining.’
Throughout their lives, I’ve consistently emphasized to my children this piece of wisdom: Life’s only steadfast element is change. It’s an ongoing journey of embracing and accepting the flow of life
On Thursday, the first trailer for the new series Landman dropped.
The show is set in West Texas and is from Taylor Sheridan, the creator of Yellowstone and Lioness.
Demi clearly distinguishes herself as the resilient, glamorous billionaire spouse of Jon Hamm’s formidable oil magnate, Monty Miller
At the gala dinner, the actress is spotted alongside Hamm, elegantly dressed in a suit and tie, and casually uttering, “Let’s roll the dice again,” suggesting that she takes charge in their relationship
In the trailer, it’s Billy Bob Thornton leading the cast, and it’s his voice we hear first. He plays a worker on an oil rig that blows up while he’s issuing a warning about the job potentially taking his life
The show will premiere on November 17 on Paramount +.
