Demi Lovato reveals what she will say if her daughter wants to become a celebrity... ahead of her Child Star documentary

As a dedicated follower of Demi Lovato‘s journey, I can’t help but admire her wisdom and maturity when it comes to nurturing the next generation of celebrities. Having lived through the highs and lows of fame herself, she understands the importance of providing a balanced upbringing for young stars who aspire to walk in her footsteps. If I were ever to have a daughter with the same dreams as Demi, I’d want her to listen carefully to what my idol had to say.

Demi Lovato shares her thoughts on what she’d do if her child expressed interest in following her path towards stardom, while gearing up for the premiere of her intense documentary titled “Child Star”.

At the tender age of eight, she secured her first major role on Barney & Friends, which marked the beginning of her successful career as a Disney Channel personality.

In her journey towards adulthood as a renowned figure, she faced numerous private struggles such as bulimia, substance addiction, and bipolar condition.

Currently, she’s stepping into the director’s chair for the first time with the project titled “Child Star”. She’s conducting interviews with notable personalities such as Drew Barrymore, JoJo Siwa, Christina Ricci and others, discussing their experiences of becoming renowned at a young age.

If Demi’s daughter chooses a musical career path, Demi has already thought about how she will respond – according to her statement made to The Hollywood Reporter.

Demi expressed, “I suggest we learn about music theory now, as it won’t be until you’re eighteen that this will come into play.”

“I’m suggesting this not out of disbelief, lack of affection, or unwillingness for your happiness, but because I yearn for you to experience a full childhood – something I was deprived of myself.”

She added, “It’s also important we consider an alternative strategy.” This thought occurs to me often as I ponder a potential transition, but I find myself stuck due to my continued dependence on music for my livelihood within my career.

Right now, Demi is betrothed to the musician known as Jutes (Jordan Lutes). She happily agreed to his proposal just a few days prior to Christmas last year.

Jutes, similar to Demi, has chosen sobriety, and contributed significantly to her rock-influenced album “HOLY F***,” which came out in 2022.

The news about their relationship emerged in August 2022, coinciding roughly with the launch of HOLY F***, however, it was reported at the time that they had been quietly seeing each other for several months prior.

According to the tipster, E! News reported that Demi and Jutes first crossed paths during their musical collaborations. Their relationship is blossoming nicely and they share many similarities. They find common ground in their shared passion for music.

Demi’s recent comments regarding her future family are made following the announcement that JoJo Siwa, Drew Barrymore, among others, will be featured interviewees on the show ‘Child Star’.

She is set to appear on camera with Kenan Thompson, Raven-Symoné, and also Alyson Stoner, who were her co-stars in the Camp Rock movie alongside Demi.

It was additionally disclosed that the documentary is set to debut on Hulu on September 17, with a runtime of around 90 minutes.

At age fifteen, Demi appeared for the first time in the Disney Channel’s Camp Rock, where she and Alyson shared the screen with the Jonas Brothers.

By then, she had become an integral part of Disney Channel, playing a leading role in their series “As The Bell Rings” that aired from 2007 to 2008.

Over time, she moved towards becoming a pop star sensation, but as she advanced in age, more and more of her private struggles started gaining public attention.

In the past, Demi openly shared her struggles, which included trying various drugs, starting from her adolescence following a car accident that led to her being given opioid prescriptions.

At 17 years old, she confessed on Call Her Daddy that she had taken her father’s beer, her mother’s Xanax, and eventually experimented with cocaine.

Back in 2018, I faced the scariest ordeal of my life – a close call with a heroin overdose that almost took me away. This near-fatal incident left me battling not just one, but three strokes and a heart attack. The aftermath included lasting damage to my brain, a grim reminder of the harrowing experience I lived through.

Approximately three years ago, she stirred debate by referring to herself as “California sober,” a term that implies she continued using cannabis, though she subsequently disclosed she had also stopped its use.

Apart from her other health issues, she’s also been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and had a struggle with bulimia that reached extreme levels. At one point, this led her to vomit blood.

Last year, Demi, who identifies as nonbinary and prefers using both “she” and “they” pronouns, unveiled plans for their documentary titled “Child Star.”
