Demi Lovato recalls her classmates making a 'suicide petition' urging her to kill herself in new documentary

As a dedicated follower of Demi Lovato‘s journey, I must say that her courage to share her painful childhood memories and struggles as a child star is truly commendable. Her resilience and willingness to speak out about her experiences, even if it means revisiting painful moments, is inspiring.

In the upcoming Hulu documentary, Child Star (premiering on September 17), Demi Lovato reflects upon a difficult childhood memory.

In the preview for an approaching documentary, a Disney graduate, now 32 years old, claimed that certain of her previous peers had signed a petition advocating for her to take her own life.

Instead, she chose not to reveal the identities of the well-known girls who, according to her, encouraged her to make such a tragic decision.

In the movie marking Demi Lovato’s first time directing, shared control was exercised with Nicola Marsh, who is known for directing “The 12th Victim.

Raven-Symoné, Christina Ricci, Alyson Stoner, and Kenan Thompson opened up about their challenges faced during their acting careers as child stars.

In the 2021 documentary “Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil,” Lovato openly discussed her struggles with drug use that started in her youth. It appears she is attempting to make peace now by conversing with past associates.

The La La Land singer said to Symoné, “At our initial call, it seemed as if you mentioned, ‘I appeared on your program,'” but admitted, “I can’t recall anything like that.

The winner of the MTV Music Video Award managed to convince her Camp Rock co-star, Alyson Stoner (age 31), to take part in the endeavor as well.

For quite some time now, we, or rather I, had been out of touch with someone, a situation that Stoner and I were about to rectify. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, prior to our public encounter, I graciously consented to engage in a heart-to-heart ‘healing’ conversation with this individual, aiming to mend any past rifts before stepping into the spotlight together.

‘I remember a sense of walking on eggshells,’ Stoner said, in the trailer.

‘I’m genuinely so sorry, ‘ Lovato replied.

During that phase of her life, Lovato shared with THR that she had exceeded the limits of what she could endure emotionally and physically. She now realizes this was a reaction to trauma.

She shared that she hadn’t initially understood how being a child star could be distressing – it isn’t always, but in her case, it was. She went on to say that she came to recognize that her behavior, as a result of the pressures of stardom, had negative impacts on those around her.

She mentioned that she often contemplated the individuals working in the costume department during her television series, as she frequently visited them when she was in a bad mood.

She expressed concern to the media outlet about the actors, guest stars, or others involved in the production of Camp Rock 2.

Additionally, I can understand the inclination to forgive my actions due to my youth and agony at the time, yet I carry an enduring sense of regret, a guilt that lingers eternally.

Child Star debuts September 17 on Hulu.
