Demi Lovato and husband have ‘sweet plans’ for one year wedding anniversary as they are ‘more in love than ever’

Demi Lovato and her husband, Jutes, are planning a special celebration for their first wedding anniversary on May 25, 2026.

At the pre-Grammy party hosted by Clive Davis, the famous couple mentioned they’re planning something really memorable – a return trip to Santa Barbara, California, where they got married.

Indeed, they still seemed to be in the honeymoon phase.

Let me tell you, at this party, there was definitely a connection! A guest confided in me that this couple was completely adorable all night long – seriously, hand-holding the entire time, and lots of sweet kisses. It was lovely to see!

He was clearly deeply in love, gently touching her back and calmly waiting while she greeted her fans. He even got her a drink and offered to help with anything else she might need.

She was very affectionate with her new husband, constantly calling him endearing names like “honey” and “sweetie,” smiling at him, and kissing him. They seemed like the most joyful couple there.

The guest also said Lovato had a lot of stars coming up to her.

According to an eyewitness, celebrities like Heidi Klum, Madison Beer, and Darren Criss all greeted her and said hello, making her appear quite popular. Jutes didn’t seem bothered by all the attention she was getting.

Lovato and Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes ‘became friends before [they] became lovers’.

Okay, so Demi met Jordan in January 2022 while they were writing songs together, and honestly, it was the most beautiful thing ever! They just clicked, and it quickly became more than a friendship. Demi’s always been so open about her struggles, and she’s said Jordan was a total lifeline for her when she was going through a really tough time with depression. He seriously helped her through it, and now they’re going to be married! It’s just… everything I hoped for!

The chart-topping singer told Who What Wear: ‘We became friends before we became lovers.

I confided in him because I was struggling a lot when I created Holy F. I had just finished treatment and was newly sober, leaving me very vulnerable and overwhelmed with feelings. I didn’t have anything to numb the pain with.

‘He was there for me as a friend, helping me get through this deep depression I was in.’

While writing her song ‘Happy Ending,’ Lovato realized she and her partner had the potential for a lasting relationship.

She said: ‘It’s probably one of the most vulnerable songs I’ve ever made.

I never expected to fall in love with him, and marriage was the furthest thing from my mind. But that particular time together was when I first felt truly safe and comfortable with him.

Both have battled addiction in the past, and the 34-year-old singer recently thanked his wife for helping him through difficult times.

Jutes told People: ‘It’s very, very helpful having the support of Demi.

Looking back, I probably wouldn’t have continued without her support early on. The beginning was definitely the most difficult, and honestly, the struggle never completely disappears. Even now, there are moments when I’m out and think things would be easier if I wasn’t sober.

Being sober definitely makes me less inclined to go out, but honestly, my life is so much better now – it’s not even close to how it used to be.

I really enjoy starting my day with a positive routine – I love waking up early to take care of my dogs, meditate, have coffee, and then head to the gym. It just makes me feel good.
