Delta’s Surprise Duet SHOCKS Sydney! You Won’t Believe Who It Is!

Delta Goodrem left her fans astounded during Monday’s show at the Sydney Opera House, as she unexpectedly invited a special guest to join her on stage for a performance.

During a unique performance marking the 20th anniversary of her Mistaken Identity album, the seasoned vocalist was accompanied live by Cody Simpson on stage.

Delta, aged 40, and Cody, aged 27, appeared relaxed while they harmoniously played a touching rendition of the song “Almost Here,” a number that was previously performed by Delta with her ex-boyfriend Brian McFadden in the past.

Cody later took to social media to reflect on his career milestone. 

‘Thank you to the legendary Delta Goodrem for the honour tonight,’ he began. 

I thoroughly enjoyed my debut performance at the Sydney Opera House recently, marking the 20-year milestone of Delta’s ‘Mistaken Identity’ album.

The extraordinary concert took place as a tribute to the incredible achievement of Delta’s second album, which hit the top spot in Australia and made appearances on charts in both the UK and New Zealand.

Earlier this year, Delta revealed the advice she would give herself at the start of her career. 

The singer said she is currently in her ‘best era’ and wishes she’d enjoyed her career more. 

If given the chance to travel back in time, I’d advise my past self that life becomes even more enjoyable. (She shares this with the Herald Sun)

‘As time goes on, you really enjoy it because you know the craft. You move forward.’ 

Delta, the artist behind the upcoming album ATLED, shared that she’s never felt happier, not just personally but also musically.

‘I’m the best version of an artist that I’ve ever been,’ she said.

After Delta revealed the moving tale connected to an untouched photo of hers, kept hidden for twenty years.

The photo, captured in 2004, features the artist who was then 19, promoting her second album, Mistaken Identity, in London. This album, significantly connected to her personal struggle against cancer, was part of her life story at that time.

At that point, the Australian musician was preparing for a fresh and thrilling phase in her profession. However, an unforeseen event occurred as she received a diagnosis of Hodgkin lymphoma.

Hodgkin lymphoma refers to a specific kind of cancer that impacts the lymphatic system within your body. Symptoms often include enlarged lymph nodes found in areas like the neck, armpits, or groin; recurring fevers; fatigue; frequent night sweats; unexplained weight loss; and persistent feelings of exhaustion.

Due to the unfortunate announcement, she needed to postpone her plans for worldwide performances and album promotion temporarily, as she shifted her attention towards prioritizing her health.

In twenty years, Delta is getting ready for a grand comeback, with an eagerly anticipated tour that marks her return to prominence and honors her musical journey.

The tour begins with a private concert at the Sydney Opera House on April 14, 2025, and another show has been added for April 15 because of high demand.
