As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming experience under my belt, the announcement of Delta Force’s mobile release has sent shivers down my spine. I remember playing the original back in the day, and the thought of reliving those intense tactical shooter battles on my phone is nothing short of exhilarating.

The long-anticipated first-person game titled “Delta Force” in the tactical shooter genre is preparing for a mobile release, coming after its PC debut. Expected to premiere on January 20, 2025, on both Android and iOS devices, you can now pre-register through their respective app markets.

Delta Force is a modern take on the classic tactical shooter with no pay-to-win mechanics

Back in 2023, I was thrilled to hear about an operation named Operation Delta, set to roll out across various platforms. However, as time went by, this project underwent some major transformations and rebranding. It eventually emerged as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, a game that shifted its focus towards delivering cross-platform tactical shooter action, catering to mobile, PC, and console gamers like me!

2024 witnessed thorough playtesting of the game, as outlined in its testing schedule. This included a PC beta test in China and a mobile beta test in June, both within the same region, prior to its release in September. Additionally, multiple hands-on events were held to exhibit the game’s mechanics and technical aspects. At the 2024 gamescom Opening Night Live event, the title was officially renamed to just Delta Force.

Delta Force presents a contemporary spin on the strategic shooting genre, designed for those who appreciate teamwork and high-octane gameplay. Engage in colossal 48-player skirmishes, decide your role on the battlefield, and tailor an extensive array of authentic firearms to fit your preferred playstyle. The creators assure us that this game is free from any pay-to-win elements.

For a more challenging experience, the Operations setting allows you and your team to engage AI foes, rival squads, and bosses to acquire valuable loot. Additionally, you can trade items with other players in the Auction House without using real currency. Regardless if you prefer playing on mobile or PC, your advancements are consistent due to cross-progression.

A pre-registration campaign is underway for Delta Force ahead of launch

Currently, the game is accepting pre-registrations on both Android (via Google Play Store) and iOS (through the App Store). Additionally, you can play the game on your PC by using Google Play Games.
