As a seasoned gamer with decades of tactical shooter experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the impending mobile launch of Delta Force. Having grown up playing the original PC versions, it feels like a dream come true to see this iconic series make its way onto my smartphone. The prospect of joining massive 48-player battles and customizing real-world weapons is nothing short of thrilling.
The much-anticipated first-person tactical shooter game, Delta Force, is ready to make its debut on mobile devices, having been initially released for PC. Mark your calendars, as the game is set to release on January 20, 2025, for both Android and iOS users. You can secure a spot for early access by pre-registering via the relevant app stores right now.
Delta Force is a modern take on the classic tactical shooter with no pay-to-win mechanics
2023 saw the initial unveiling of what was then called Operation Delta, a game destined to grace multiple platforms. However, as time unfolded, it went through some major transformations and a fresh coat of paint. It eventually emerged as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, with an emphasis on tactical shooter action that seamlessly spans mobile devices, PCs, and gaming consoles. As a gamer, I’m eagerly waiting to dive into this revamped version!
Gamers who love mobile games, the long-awaited news is finally here! 🎉

2024 marked an intense testing phase for the game, as outlined in its roadmap. During this period, a PC beta test took place in China and a mobile beta version was launched in June, also in China. The game eventually went live in September, following several hands-on events that demonstrated its gameplay mechanics and technical aspects. At the gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live event, the game was officially renamed to just “Delta Force”.
Delta Force offers a contemporary spin on traditional tactical shooting games, catering to players who thrive on teamwork and high-octane action. Engage in massive 48-player conflicts, select your role within the battlefield, and tailor a variety of authentic real-world weapons to fit your playstyle. The developers assure us that there’s no pay-to-win advantage here.

For a more challenging experience, the Operations setting allows you and your team to engage AI opponents, rival groups, and bosses to obtain valuable loot. Additionally, you can trade items with other players in the Auction House without using real currency. Regardless if you play on mobile or PC, your progress syncs across platforms due to cross-progression.
A pre-registration campaign is underway for Delta Force ahead of launch
Currently, the game is accepting pre-registration on both Android (through Google Play Store) and iOS (via App Store). Additionally, you can play the game on a PC by using Google Play Games.

After taking the same action, you’ll receive a notification when the game goes live on the 20th of January, 2025. This could happen even earlier if they start pre-downloads. In the meantime, there’s a pre-registration campaign happening that offers attractive rewards!
