On July 2nd, the movie made its debut exclusively on streaming platforms, and it has since become the most popular film globally on Amazon’s streaming service, according to Flixpatrol.

The story unfolds with a contentious U.S. President and British Prime Minister, who are aboard Air Force One, encountering an unexpected incident as the plane is struck and brought down by a Russian extremist.

The pair find themselves abandoned in Belarus, needing to cooperate and navigate Europe‘s roads, all while unraveling the mystery of who within their groups has deceived them.

The film has done decently with critics, with a 67% positive score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Audience members seemed to enjoy it even more. One spectator described it as “the ideal dose of thrilling, absurd entertainment we could use more of,” while also finding it “joyfully chaotic.” They went on to say that “Elba and Cena make up an unexpectedly great pair, like a duo you didn’t realize you were rooting for all along.

Another review called it “an extremely silly film” that “will happily fill 117 minutes”.

Cena’s work schedule is filled with various upcoming ventures, one of which is the second installment of his DC superhero show titled Peacemaker.

Additionally, there’s the movie titled “Coyote vs Acme,” a Looney Tunes production which Warner Bros had put on hold several years ago. However, recently, Ketchup Entertainment – the same company that launched “The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie” this year – has managed to revive it.

It doesn’t have a specific release date, but is expected to come out at some point in 2026.

Heads of State can now be streamed on Prime Video.

The latest edition of Digital Spy’s print issue has arrived! You can purchase the “Oasis – Live in ’25” either from your local newsstands or online, available for only £8.99.
