The crime drama on Disney+ titled “High Potential” has officially set a release date for its second season, which will be arriving quite shortly.
As an enthusiastic viewer, I can’t contain my excitement! The anticipated new episodes of our beloved series are set to premiere on the streamer in both the UK and Ireland on the 17th of September. It’s barely been a few months since its debut season took the streaming world by storm. Can’t wait to see what unfolds next!
In the TV series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” actress Kaitlin Olson will be returning to play the character Morgan Gillory. This time, she is a cleaner for the Los Angeles Police Department who, due to her impressive intellect and remarkable brainpower, gets promoted to consultant within the Major Crimes division.

First aired on ABC in 2024, this show is inspired by the widely acclaimed French-Belgian series titled “Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI)”. The director of “The Cabin in the Woods”, Drew Goddard, took charge of the English adaptation.
In addition to Olson, the cast features Daniel Sunjata portraying Morgan’s partner, Adam Karadec; Judy Reyes plays the role of Selena Soto, their department head; and the ensemble is rounded out by Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, Amirah J, and Matthew Lamb.

Moreover, it’s been verified that Steve Howey will be part of the main cast for the next season. He will take on the role of Nick Wagner, the newly appointed precinct captain.
From its initial release, the movie “High Potential” has resonated strongly with critics, earning a 96% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 25 reviews.
The reviewers have referred to it as a “cozy mystery with a playful, mischievous edge,” a “fun and amusing take on the weekly murder-mystery format,” and “genuinely humorous and very charming” (respectively, from The Daily Telegraph, The Age, and Los Angeles Times).
In the Financial Times’ write-up, they commended Olson for finally reaching her full potential as a leading character in the Sunny ensemble, after being relatively unrecognized for two decades.

In a conversation with Deadline, Olson revealed that the forthcoming season will delve more profoundly into certain characters and their relationships.
She expressed a desire for the show to include engaging, emotional scenes filled with laughter, as well as delving into character relationships. Moreover, she highlighted the importance of further developing the other characters in the series.
We didn’t get a chance to focus on it as much as I believe we needed to, but we will certainly delve deeper into it as well.
High Potential season 2 is releasing on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland on 17 September.
