Deborra-Lee Furness files for divorce from Hugh Jackman two years after separation
Actors Hugh Jackman, known for his role as “The Wolverine”, and Deborra-Lee Furness have made their split official, two years after they initially announced they were separating in a friendly manner.
Furness filed the paperwork Friday in New York.
1. All documents have been fully processed, leaving just a judge’s signature to officially conclude the divorce. A spokesperson for Furness failed to provide a response via email when requested on Tuesday.
2. The processing of all papers is complete; only the judge’s signature remains to finalize the divorce. A representative from Furness could not be reached for comment after sending an email on Tuesday.
3. All necessary filings have been taken care of, and now only a judge’s signature is needed to make the divorce official. An email sent to a representative for Furness seeking comment went unanswered on Tuesday.
4. With all paperwork already processed, just a judge’s approval is required to finalize the divorce. No response was received from a representative of Furness when an email requesting comment was sent on Tuesday.
In their recent announcement, the ex-couple expressed that their path is changing and they’ve chosen to part ways in order to focus on personal development separately. This decision was made public for the first time in a joint statement to People magazine in September 2023. They were grateful for the nearly three decades they spent together, during which they enjoyed a “wonderful, loving marriage.
