Death in Paradise’s Ralf Little lands next movie role
As a seasoned gamer of life with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen more plot twists than a Netflix original series. Ralf Little leaving Death in Paradise was one such twist that left me reeling, but his latest role in The Flaw has me intrigued once again.
Ralf Little has landed his next movie role after exiting Death in Paradise.
Actor DI Neville Parker has been chosen for the role in the forthcoming dystopian suspense film, “The Flaw,” which is a movie adaptation of the 1965 novel “To Lathos” by Greek writer Antonis Samarakis. (Source: Variety)
Right now, the film is being shot in Athens, signifying the first full-length directorial venture by Theophilos Papastylianos.
The narrative unfolds in a world controlled by The Regime and chronicles the role of an investigator from the Special Services, portrayed by David Dawson from “My Policeman”, who’s assigned to meticulously carry out a predetermined strategy to establish that the character Arthur McBain is indeed guilty.
As the questioning progressed, the Interrogator began to discern an issue with the Strategy and the System itself, causing him to reconsider all his previously held beliefs.
In the upcoming movie “The Flaw,” I can’t reveal what role Little will be playing yet. Alongside Little, we have Danny John-Jules and Angela Brouskou joining the cast. However, the specific details about their characters are being kept secret for now.
Samarakis’ acclaimed novel on state oppression has previously been made into a movie.
Approximately a decade following its initial publication, the book was transformed into a film under a multinational collaboration between France, Germany, and Italy, titled “La Faille” (which translates to “Weak Spot” in English). The movie was helmed by director Peter Fleischmann.
Speaking as a devoted fan, I must say that Little, who previously graced our screens as DI Parker, bid adieu earlier this year. Interestingly, it was alongside Neville and the captivating DS Florence Cassell, portrayed by Josephine Jobert, that he departed the idyllic island of Saint Marie.
Since then, he’s appeared on the reality TV show “Will & Ralf: They Really Ought to Know Better” together with his fellow actor and former “Two Pints” colleague, Will Mellor.
The Flaw doesn’t have a release date yet.
Death in Paradise and its spin-off, Beyond Paradise, both air on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer.
