Death in Paradise’s Josephine Jobert shares new look at detective drama
As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours solving virtual mysteries and unraveling intricate plots, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement at the prospect of Josephine Jobert‘s new crime drama, Saint-Pierre. Having bid adieu to her role as DS Florence Cassell in Death in Paradise, she’s now gearing up for a fresh challenge as Deputy Chief Geneviève ‘Arch’ Archambault.
Actress Josephine Jobert, known for her role on Death in Paradise, shares a glimpse of her forthcoming crime series titled Saint-Pierre with enthusiasts.
Following her brief appearance as DS Florence Cassell in season 13 of Death in Paradise, Jobert has moved on to embrace the challenges of a fresh set of cases, stepping into the role of Deputy Chief Geneviève ‘Arch’ Archambault.
In their latest Instagram share, the actor unveiled an initial glimpse of her character, Arch, alongside her fellow cast member Allan Hawco, portraying Inspector Donny ‘Fitz’ Fitzpatrick from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.
I can hardly contain my excitement for you to find out about the case we’re dealing with,” is how Jobert worded his post, sharing a picture of them both in white suits and gloves at a crime scene.
In the coming winter, the series titled “Saint-Pierre” is scheduled to air on CBC Television, and it’s set in the French territory of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, which lies off the eastern Canadian coast near Newfoundland and Labrador.
In this scenario, Jobert’s character, Arch – who hails from the city of Paris – forms an alliance with the fresh recruit, Fitz, following his expulsion to the island due to his curiosity about the political dealings of a local figure.
By an uncanny twist of events, these veteran law enforcers, each possessing distinct methods and expertise in police work, are compelled to collaborate and tackle extraordinary and thrilling cases.
As an eager admirer, I can’t wait to find out when and where Saint-Pierre will air globally. Keep your eyes peeled here, as I’ll be sure to share updates as soon as they become available.
In the meantime, the show “Death in Paradise” has replaced its main character following the exit of Ralf Little from his role as DI Neville Parker.
This spring, it became known that the ex-actor from “EastEnders”, Don Gilet, will assume the role of Detective Inspector Mervin Wilson starting with season 14.
Saint-Pierre is set to premiere on CBC Television in the winter of 2025.
