Death in Paradise’s Joséphine Jobert reveals she doesn’t miss the BBC show
As a long-time fan who’s followed Joséphine Jobert’s career since her days on Death in Paradise, I must say her recent statements about not missing the show are both refreshing and inspiring. It’s always fascinating to watch an artist grow and evolve, and it seems that Joséphine is no exception.
Josephine Jobert, who plays a role in the series “Death in Paradise,” has expressed that it’s now time for her to transition to new experiences, using the phrase “it’s time to move on.
From 2015 through 2022, the actor portrayed Florence Cassell on the BBC series. They recently concluded their run in this role with an appearance in the thirteenth season, which took place earlier this year.
Before appearing in the upcoming series “Saint-Pierre”, Jobert recently joined an Instagram Live session for a Q&A with her fans. During this interactive session, one fan inquired about whether she still yearned for her character from “Death in Paradise”.
Jobert replied through Hello, “It was indeed wonderful,” he said. “I managed to enjoy myself immensely and created some fantastic memories along the way. I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting remarkable individuals. However, it’s now time for me to shift gears.
Jobert’s recent remark aligns with her earlier statements about the series, where she expressed a lack of interest in playing Florence again if a spin-off were to be produced.
I feel quite certain about this. I’ve returned numerous times, and I believe I’ve served my full term on the show. Now, I’ve bid farewell to Florence, and I’m deeply appreciative for being involved in a project that has enriched my life so significantly.
“I’m thrilled about progressing onto fresh ventures as well! However, I fully grasp the reason behind your query. Frankly, it’s heartwarming to know that people are eager to stay updated with Florence’s journey.
Although it’s unlikely that Jobert will rejoin the cast of Death in Paradise for some time, viewers can look forward to seeing him in Saint-Pierre, a new series where he and Allan Hawco portray detectives working on solving local crimes.
Following Inspector Donny Fitzpatrick (Hawco) from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, who delves too far into a local politician’s questionable actions, he is transferred to work in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon – an archipelago belonging to France situated in the Atlantic Ocean.
Beyond Paradise and Death in Paradise both air on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer.
