Death in Paradise shares big new-season update and fans cannot wait

Filming on Death in Paradise season 15 has officially kicked off.

Last month marked the conclusion of the 14th installment of the popular BBC show, with the announcement earlier that it would continue for yet another season.

The Instagram account officially announcing the start of filming for more episodes has shared an image – it’s a clapperboard, set against the beautiful backdrop of Guadeloupe’s sandy beaches.

The caption reads, “We’ve returned to a tropical haven!” This week, filming starts for the fresh season of Death In Paradise, set in Guadeloupe.

Supporters swiftly expressed their joy about the news in the comment area, and one of them stated, “Hooray! The last season was significantly more enjoyable than it has been for quite some time.

The first person expressed enthusiasm by saying, “I can hardly wait to see my favorite DI!”, while the second joined in with excitement, “Fantastic news! I can’t wait either. I’ve missed them dearly.

In Season 14, Detective Inspector Mervin Wilson, played by Don Gilet, took on his primary role for the first time following his introduction during the holiday special episode.

Previously, the actor expressed that stepping into the lead role from Ralf Little was like experiencing equal parts exhilaration and fear, using a phrase in December: “I compare it to those thrilling yet frightening rides at an amusement park. I know it’s going to be scary, but I’m still going to ride it.

In the latest update, it’s been verified that the filming for the second season of the spin-off series “Return to Paradise,” following “Death in Paradise,” has begun as well.

Additionally, it was revealed by the BBC that Ardal O’Hanlon will once again play the character of Jack Mooney from “Death in Paradise”.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that some remarkable artists are joining the cast! Danielle Cormack, Meyne Wyatt, Roz Hammond, Justine Clarke, Michelle Lim Davidson, Greg Stone, Zoe Carides, Simon Lyndon, Miah Madden, and Tim Rogers will all be gracing our screens. Can’t wait to see them bring their talents to life!

Death in Paradise and its spin-off, Beyond Paradise, both air on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer.
