Joséphine Jobert, known for her role in Death in Paradise, recently starred in the Canadian crime series Saint-Pierre, which has just become available to UK viewers, and there’s more of her work on the way for fans to enjoy.
Even though the second season hasn’t come to the UK yet, the show has been renewed for a third season!
Filming for the 12-episode series is scheduled to start in July in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon and Newfoundland, according to Deadline.

In a statement, the show’s creators, Allan Hawco and Robina Lord-Stafford, expressed their deep gratitude for the ongoing support of CBC, their fantastic partners at Fifth Season, and the show’s fans around the world who have loved it since the start.
We’re thrilled to be back in Newfoundland and Saint-Pierre et Miquelon for season 3! These locations are really central to what makes the show unique. We’re hoping to continue the success of the first two seasons and deliver even more mystery, surprises, and compelling character interactions that viewers love.
What to Read Next
Jobert stars as Geneviève ‘Arch’ Archambault, a police officer who teams up with a new partner, Donny ‘Fitz’ Fitzpatrick, after he’s transferred to her small French town.
At first, their different approaches to solving cases caused some friction, but they quickly realized they worked well together.
Okay, so I read a review on Digital Spy about the first season, and they basically said it’s a total must-watch. They pointed out that the little power struggles between characters, and how Fitz ended up in his position – even though it wasn’t how he planned – really built up the tension and made things frustrating in a good way.
Despite these similarities, the show also includes enough new elements to keep it interesting, especially for viewers who are fans of the actor from Death in Paradise.

The first two seasons of the show both started in January in Canada—season one in 2025 and season two in 2026—and continued with new episodes each week. We can probably expect season three to follow the same pattern.
I’m really hoping the UK gets season 2 out soon! If they do, maybe we’ll be able to watch season 3 at the same time as everyone in Canada? That would be amazing!
Good news for fans of the “Paradise” series! Death in Paradise will be back for seasons 16 and 17, Return to Paradise has finished filming its third season, and production on season 5 of Beyond Paradise will begin this summer.
In the UK, Saint-Pierre airs on U&Alibi and streams on Sky/NOW.
