Fans of Death in Paradise will have to wait a bit longer to find out what happens next! The show won’t be on this Friday as planned. Instead, a new episode will air on Monday, March 9th due to a scheduling change for the FA Cup football game.
Fans of Death in Paradise were informed on the show’s Instagram page that episode 6 will now be available on BBC iPlayer from Friday at 8:45pm. While it won’t air on BBC One next Friday, you can still watch it then on iPlayer, or tune in to BBC One on Monday, March 9th.
However, there’s a silver lining: this means viewers will get an extra week of the Paradise storyline! Unfortunately, the schedule change means fans will have to wait a little longer to discover what happens to Mervin (Don Gilet).
What to Read Next
Last time on the show, Detective Sergeant Naomi Thomas raced to find Commissioner Selwyn. She finally caught up with him and, with the rest of the team watching, told him she believed something awful had happened to the inspector.
Mervin suddenly woke up, realizing he was tied to a chair in a strange house. He struggled against the ropes, demanding to know what was happening, then spotted someone and simply said, “You.”

Just before he was arrested, Mervin decided to travel to Antigua to talk to his brother, Solomon (Daniel Ward), about their mother’s inheritance. He was also hoping to repair their relationship, which had fractured after years of disagreements and Solomon taking some of Mervin’s belongings.
Gilet explained in a BBC press release that the saying ‘two peas in a pod’ doesn’t fit these two individuals at all. He described them as complete opposites – one is Mervin, and the other is someone very different, possibly even on the wrong side of the law.
He explained that Mervin is struggling to understand something about Solomon. Mervin is realizing that his initial expectations for Solomon might not be accurate.
You can watch Death in Paradise, as well as its spin-offs Beyond Paradise and Return to Paradise, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
