As a seasoned Bridgerton fan with years of binge-watching period dramas under my belt, I must say that the latest updates on season 4 have certainly kept my anticipation ablaze! The addition of Yerin Ha as Sophie Baek, and her on-screen chemistry with Luke Thompson’s character, is a promising start to this new chapter.
Despite Lady Whistledown’s absence for nearly two years, Netflix and Bridgerton frequently update us on the upcoming season, keeping our curiosity alive. Given the lengthy wait, it seems fair that they provide updates every now and then. What fresh tidbits have they shared recently?
As a dedicated gamer following the latest updates on season 4, here’s some exciting news about the new love interest! We already knew it was going to be Yerin Ha, but now we have more details. To better reflect her Korean background, her character will be named Sophie Baek instead of Sophie Beckett – which I think is a fantastic touch! Can’t wait to see how this adds depth to the game and the storyline!
In addition, Netflix released a video featuring Yerin Ha donning attire reminiscent of Bridgerton. As the character known as Lady in Silver, it’s no surprise that a pair of silver gloves were included in the brief snippet. Although we haven’t yet seen Ha in a full dress, it’s expected to happen closer to season 4’s release. The silver gown is anticipated to be one of the significant costumes for the upcoming season.
Luke Thompson mentioned in his statement that he and Yerin have begun practicing dances together. He’s pleased to share that they’ve only stumbled on each other’s feet once, which is a positive sign.
Bridgerton season 4 news has been rampant this week
The most exciting news is that Netflix shared photos of Yerin Ha and Luke Thompson, and I must admit, I nearly fainted at their stunning appearance together! It would be an understatement to say they look great; this phrase falls short compared to the truth. They are dressed in contemporary attire, but these images have ignited fans’ imaginations for countless fan-made stories and edits that will keep them busy for months.

Not only fans, but also Claudia Jessie (as Eloise Bridgerton), Hannah Dodd (as Francesca Bridgerton), and Nicola Coughlan (as Penelope Bridgerton) have reached out to Ha before their meeting, expressing their warm welcome to the cast.
Besides Yerin Ha, other newcomers to the cast include Katie Leung, known from the “Harry Potter” series, who plays Lady Araminta Gun. Also joining are Michelle Mao as Rosamund Gun, one of Lady Araminta’s daughters, and Isabella Wei, whose role is yet to be specified. Rosamund has her eye on Mr. Benedict Bridgerton, but it remains a mystery if Benedict will continue hiding behind Lady Danbury this season. Stay tuned for more updates!
