Dean Norris Flirts with Mariska Hargitay on ‘Organized Crime’—Did Real-Life Banter Inspire It?
It’s enjoyable to engage in flirting with Mariska Hargitay, as Dean Norris can attest. The star of Law & Order: Organized Crime has been open about his expanded role as Detective Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni) older brother, Randall, on the popular crime series. This season, the show shifted from NBC to Peacock.
In this week’s installment of “Law & Order”, excitement on the internet surged following episode 2, where veteran character Stabler seemed to exchange significant looks with guest star Hargitay. Their characters, Stabler and Benson, shared a close bond in the series as Benson stood vigil at Stabler’s bedside. In a chat with MovieWeb, Dean Norris commented on this intriguing development.
In a city called Temecula, California, there’s my restaurant named Swinging Café, where we specialize in barbecue. You know, I can’t stop talking about our brisket! My friend Chris often teases me about the offset smoker we use. Then, he wrote an episode, and to my surprise, my come-on line for Mariska was, “Hey sweetheart, fancy some brisket? Mine is simply fantastic!” It seems like he infused a touch of reality into our fictional world. And that’s Randall attempting to woo Benson while Elliot lies unconscious nearby.
The Real-Life Bond Between Hargitay and Meloni is Real
In Season 5 of “Law & Order: SVU,” often referred to as “explosive,” there’s a deeper exploration of the bond between the Stabler Brothers. It’s no secret that when Christopher Meloni appears, it makes for compelling viewing, and together with Mariska Hargitay, they have been steering this show for quite some time. While Benson and Stabler aren’t actually a couple, their dynamic is undeniably captivating. (Almost like one.)
Norris pointed out the instant rapport and short-hand communication between Hargitay and Meloni in their scenes, a connection that’s been honed over time. He admitted to feeling excited about meeting Meloni this season, emphasizing that the genuine creative bond between these two cast members is evident and palpable.
As a devoted admirer, I can confidently say that these two are long-time companions who effortlessly complement one another in their collaborations. It’s evident, and when they team up, it’s like striking a match to dynamite!
During the progression of Season 5, expect Elliot Stabler to become increasingly entangled in the risky realms of international trafficking, advanced homegrown terrorism, and a criminal clan eager for retribution against Stabler.
As a fan, I can’t wait for the upcoming season that revolves around a “brothers” theme, delving into sibling relationships – not just between the Stabler brothers, but also the criminals, whose family ties are put to the test. This season sees the return of Rick Gonzalez, Ainsley Seiger, and Ellen Burstyn in their roles. Don’t miss out on the new episodes of Law & Order: Organized Crime streaming every Thursday on Peacock.
