Dean McCullough is told to ‘get a grip’ by seething I’m A Celeb viewers during latest Bushtucker Trial theatrics – as they brand it ‘the most disgusting thing they have ever seen’
As a seasoned viewer of various reality TV shows, I must say that this episode of “The Rank Bank” was quite an entertaining spectacle! The contestants’ antics and their reactions to the bizarre challenges were genuinely amusing.
Viewers of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! expressed their disapproval towards Dean McCullough and deemed the recent Bushtucker Trial as one of the most revolting spectacles ever shown on the program, as contestants competed vigorously to earn funds for camp.
In the latest episode of ITV’s popular show, I found myself among the selected few: Alan Halsall, a vibrant radio host at age 32, along with Danny Jones, a charismatic figure at 38. The public chose us for an exciting challenge called The Rank Bank.
The three of them had been assigned a peculiar job: to gather coins out of overflowing trays containing waste parts, but here’s the twist – they were forbidden from using their hands; instead, they could only rely on their mouths.
In the midst of the unfolding proceedings, I found myself revealing some rather unusual ingredients – uncooked pig’s testicles, fish innards, and fish eyeballs – to the captivated audience at home.
Dean showed immediate concern upon learning he might encounter fish innards once more, informing Ant and Dec, “No, I’m not prepared for that yet.
However, when the Klaxon blared, there was no other option left for him than to submerge himself along with the others in the salty mess.
Yet, it didn’t take much time before he began voicing complaints, prompting fans to vent on the platform once known as Twitter, expressing their anger towards the radio host for urging him to “pull himself together”.

In the Bushtucker Trial zone, as the celebrities arrived, Ant and Dec announced: “Prepare for jungle living to become quite costly.
In the course of their discussion, they mentioned: ‘For necessities during our stay at camp, you’ll need to spend money. You’ll utilize your jungle cash card for these purchases. Additionally, you’ll be divided into three groups.’
Afterward, they clarified that Dean, Alan, and Danny would serve as the initial team members, with each of them holding a distinctly colored monetary card.
The remaining campers settled down on the benches, after which they were told to draw a money card at random from a sack, the color of which would signify their assigned team.
In the game, Dean, Jane, Colleen, and Melvin joined forces on the Pink Squad, whereas Alan, Tulisa, Richard, and Barry comprised the Blue Team. The Orange Team was made up of Danny, Maura, Oti, and another Barry.
Within the designated groups, it was made clear that each member would handle their team’s funds individually. Each group would have its separate bank account and debit card for this purpose.
The funds will be utilized for purchasing necessities such as food and other supplies required for the campsite on a daily basis, along with ingredients for their evening meal.
Since they hadn’t spent the money yet, the initial trial fell upon Dean, Alan, and Danny. They faced off against The Rank Bank, their first chance to accrue funds for their respective teams by competing in this challenge.
In a straightforward manner, Ant and Dec shared that they will participate in four competitions with the aim of earning money to boost their teams’ respective bank balances.
In the first position, they’d receive a prize of $300, in second, they’d get $200, and in third, they’d earn $100. Each competition has a time limit of three minutes set. If they don’t finish the race within this time frame, they won’t win anything for their account.
In this competition, Danny and Alan were closely matched, but Danny edged ahead at the finish line and bagged $300 for Team Orange, while Alan received $200 for Team Blue. Unfortunately, Dean failed to meet the deadline for completing the task, resulting in no earnings for himself.
Next, Dean encountered his arch-rival – a heap of fish innards. The task for each team was to retrieve three coins from a container filled with fish innards using nothing but their mouths.
In the end, Alan emerged victorious, while Danny and Dean were closely competing for the runner-up position.
Dean ended up placing second and received $200, while Danny ran a bit late, missing the time limit by mere seconds. This delay meant that he earned no coins, as they were distributed only after the Klaxon had finished sounding.
During the third competition, they were informed to closely monitor their budgets because Ant and Dec disclosed that they would need to extract fish eye juice into a shot glass with just their mouth, ensuring it reached the red mark.
Alan came first with $300, Danny second with $200 and Dean third with $100.
As Dean said of the fish guts: “It’s all in my veneers!”
In the last and decisive competition, Dean, Alan, and Danny were tasked with reaching into a box teeming with small creatures to retrieve three coins swiftly.
In the end, it was Alan who took the top spot with an additional $300, while Dean followed in second place earning $200. Unfortunately, Danny didn’t quite make it within the time limit, so he walked away empty-handed.
After successfully finishing ‘The Rank Bank’ contest, Team Blue emerged triumphant with a prize of $1100, whereas Teams Pink and Orange ended up tied, each taking home $500.
