Dean Gaffney is dating a woman who previously studied at Harvard University. Friends introduced the couple, and she’s reportedly different from the types of women he’s dated before.

Former EastEnders star, 47, is said to be dating Kate Black, a graduate of a well-known university where she studied international relations.

Kate, 31, is also believed to have studied artificial intelligence at the University of York. 

The couple – who have an age gap of 16 years – went on their first date back in April of this year.

The Sun reports that Kate met him through a friend after ending a long-term relationship.

According to a source, Dean is falling for her and they have a great connection, even though she’s different from the women he usually dates.

He usually goes out with women who love to party, but Kate prefers staying in. She’s intelligent, dedicated, and driven to succeed.

She usually goes for guys who are ambitious and focused on their studies. However, she’s really drawn to Dean’s funny personality and relaxed attitude.

While a representative for Dean denied a romance, Kate told the outlet: ‘Yes, but no comment.’

Last year it was revealed how Dean had signed up to a dating app in a bid to find love.

The actor, a father of twin daughters with his former partner Sarah Burge, has started using the dating app Hinge.

He stated on his profile that he doesn’t want to date smokers, calling it his biggest dealbreaker.

His profile said: ‘Be a nice humble person, it’s nice to be nice… you’ll get the same from me.’

Dean’s dating profile features photos of him dressed sharply, and includes the playful claim that dating him feels like winning the lottery every day.

After ending his relationship with Sarah in 2015, Dean joined the dating app Bumble in 2019 hoping to meet someone new.

According to a source close to him, he’s a relaxed and easygoing person who’s simply looking for companionship. He’s open to meeting all sorts of people, hoping to increase his chances of finding a long-term partner.
