Dean Cain caused a stir at CPAC on Thursday by strongly supporting his choice to work with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a position he began in August 2025.
I was so moved by Dean Cain’s speech in Texas! He explained that he didn’t just want to talk about making a difference, he wanted to do something, and that’s why he got involved with ICE. It’s really inspiring to see someone taking action like that.
Hi, I’m Dean Cain. Some of you might be asking why a former Superman is speaking at CPAC. It’s simple: I believe in truth, justice, and the values that make America great.
Okay, so listen, he was spot on. He totally gets it! To me, the American way is all about freedom – everyone having their individual rights, first and foremost. But it’s also about a fair shot for everyone, not guaranteeing everyone the same result. That’s huge! He said it so clearly – no to all this DEI and CRT stuff. It should be about merit, pure and simple. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from, or what you believe – you succeed because you earn it, period. It’s just…perfect. He understands what America should be!
Third, we need fair competition. That means allowing people to compete openly and honestly, without unnecessary government interference, and ensuring that athletic competitions are separated by biological sex.
Cain pointed out that talk isn’t enough, stating, ‘Today’s focus should be on doing, not just saying.’ He then illustrated this by explaining that when people on the left called for cutting funding to the police and ICE, he actively supported those agencies by joining them.
I’ve been a huge supporter for a long time, and I was so impressed when he didn’t back down when Hollywood tried to silence him for his beliefs. He actually turned it around and said he’d build his own platform, Proud American Studios, and start a podcast called ‘The Homeland’ – all to celebrate how amazing America is. It was such a powerful response, and I’ve been following his work ever since!
Oh my gosh, his closing was everything! He just stood there, so strong, and said, ‘We’re gonna fight! We’re gonna fight to keep things the way they are!’ Then he finished with ‘truth, justice, and the American way,’ like it was a battle cry! And then, ‘God bless you all for being here!’ It gave me chills, seriously. It was perfect. I’ll never forget it.
Cain spoke out after being heavily criticized for having difficulty completing an ICE training course last August.
Footage showed Cain completing the obstacle course at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Georgia.
Dean Cain, known for playing Superman, slowly climbed a wall, crawled through a barrel, pulled a training dummy, and practiced shooting alongside Todd Lyons, the acting director of ICE.
One critic questioned if the video’s speed had been altered. Another commented that if residents began to resist, ICE would be in a difficult position.
A third added: ‘Glad he wants to help but he’s probably not your best candidate tbh.’
Some viewers called the course a ‘kiddy playground’ and ‘utterly embarrassing.’
Even after facing criticism, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shared a video by Cain and promoted job openings on their website. They highlighted benefits like a sign-on bonus of up to $50,000, help with student loans up to $60,000, and a 25% raise in hourly pay.
Cain defended himself against criticism, stating that he was simply supporting federal law enforcement and the rights of American citizens. He welcomed any mockery directed at him for taking that stance.
He first announced he’d be joining ICE quickly, stating he wanted to help protect the country, and expressed support for the strict immigration policies of former President Trump.
Cain, who is both a law enforcement officer and a filmmaker, explained that he wanted to actively contribute to the safety of Americans, rather than just discuss it. That’s why he decided to join first responders and help secure safety for everyone.
He went on to say that if people want to help make America safer, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is focusing on arresting and removing the most dangerous criminals from the country.

Cain spoke highly of ICE during the Trump administration, stating they had apprehended ‘hundreds of thousands of criminals, including terrorists, those accused of rape and murder, individuals involved in child exploitation, MS-13 gang members, and drug traffickers.’
Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported receiving 100,000 applications for around 10,000 available jobs after removing age limits as part of a large recruiting effort.
