Deal Or No Deal contestant slams ‘measly’ prize win

A participant in the game show “A Deal or No Deal” on Channel Seven has unveiled the relatively small prizes available.

On Thursday, TikTok user SagalOnline posted a video on the platform showcasing an appearance on a well-established TV series.

In the video, it was evident that the competitor decided to pick Sagal for opening her case, expressing: “I believe I’ll select number ten as you appear captivating on stage.

Afterward, Sagal assumed her briefcase held $7,500, and as she opened it up, her assumption proved accurate.

With great satisfaction stemming from her gut feeling, Sagal gleamed and exclaimed in ecstatic eagerness as Grant Denyer, the host, and the cheering crowd all shared in the thrill of the accurate response.

Yet, her enthusiasm quickly faded when she understood what she’d actually win for all her hard work.

With much excitement, Grant unveiled that Sagal had recently acquired a Deal or No Deal board game and $250 in cold hard cash.

Despite appearing composed upon receiving the $29 game, Sagal later expressed his actual feelings in a comment about the video clip.

Caught up in a spontaneous adventure not part of the main story, I found myself shouting uncontrollably (thinking I was about to pocket a cool 100 grand!). Oh, the agony!” She penned.

Her followers agreed, also taking umbrage with the prize on offer.

In the past, making the perfect choice could have earned someone a substantial sum of $1,000, but unfortunately, today that same choice only brings in a modest $100 and a board game. This is a sentiment I’ve come across recently.

Another said ‘they robbed you,’ to which Sagal replied: ‘Don’t worry, I’ll be back.’

A third offered: ‘Girl i would be posting this clip everywhereee if i was you.’

‘LMAOOOOO! I would chuck it in my LinkedIn if I could,’ Sagal jokingly replied.

In a distinct turn of events, David Genat, another game show competitor, just clinched the record-breaking grand prize from any game show.

2020’s Australian Survivor champion also claimed victory on the American show Deal or No Deal Island.

The Australian model aged 45 pocketed approximately USD 5.8 million from the NBC series, equivalent to about AUD 9.2 million.

In March, after his groundbreaking victory was aired, I managed to connect with David in Los Angeles, where he currently resides.

When queried about his feelings upon suddenly becoming a multi-millionaire, David had no trouble expressing himself.

He expressed that he was feeling exceptionally well, almost ecstatic, using various repetitions. He found it hard to contain his excitement as he said, ‘It’s simply fantastic!’

Next, the reporter inquired whether it had been challenging to maintain secrecy about his astonishing victory for a period of six months.

Later on, David confessed that he needed to stay silent for an extended period, and although his show episode was recorded approximately eight months ago, he hadn’t received payment yet.

Negative, it’s actually taking longer. We completed filming in August, so it’s been quite unruly, and I haven’t received the payment as of now.

The reality star was not concerned about his lack of payment, adding: ‘That’s a good thing.’

Yet, David mentioned that he plans to closely monitor his bank account during the upcoming weeks.

‘I think you’ve got 90 days from the final ep,’ he said.

‘But I will be checking my bank balance on Instagram every day, don’t you worry.’
