Deadpool & Wolverine’s Hugh Jackman shares sweet reunion with fellow Marvel star
As a long-time Marvel enthusiast who has witnessed the evolution of the cinematic universe over the past few decades, I must say that the recent reunion between Hugh Jackman and Ke Huy Quan is nothing short of heartwarming. The fact that these two talented individuals crossed paths 25 years ago on the set of X-Men and have now come full circle, with both making significant strides in their respective careers, is a testament to the power of perseverance and the magic of the Marvel universe.
In a heartwarming moment, actor Hugh Jackman, famous for playing Deadpool and Wolverine, recently reunited with Marvel co-star Ki Hong Lee, after 25 years since their initial encounter.
More recently, Jackman has once again stepped into the superhero world, sharing screen time with Ryan Reynolds in the third installment of the Deadpool series. Here, he resumed his character from the X-Men series, Logan/Wolverine.
As Quan, I stepped into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with my character Ourobros ‘O.B.’ in season 2 of Loki. Fun fact: way back in the year 2000, I worked alongside Hugh Jackman as a stunt coordinator for the first X-Men movie. Time has flown, but destiny brought us back together after Marvel’s big boss, Kevin Feige, received his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Hugh Jackman posted on Instagram a picture of the two with an emotional message, explaining: “It’s amazing how the release of the [Wolverine] movie brings back numerous special moments, reminding me of the 25 years I spent portraying Wolverine.”
At a recent Walk of Fame induction ceremony for Kevin Feigy, I encountered Ke Huy Kwan, who has just won an Oscar – for the remarkable film “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. His life journey and career are nothing short of amazing.
“We ran into each other with a warm hug, as we had previously collaborated on the X-Men film. At that time, he was part of the stunt team working on this project. Firstly, I must say he’s an exceptional talent, and the entire stunt team was outstanding. It was during this experience that I learned a great deal about action sequences and stunts. It was truly exciting to meet him again and rekindle our connection.”
The action-packed duo of Deadpool and Wolverine, featuring Emma Corrin in the lead antagonist role, has been both critically acclaimed and financially profitable so far. The profanely entertaining movie has already surpassed $650 million in worldwide box office earnings.
Deadpool & Wolverine is in cinemas now.
