Deadpool & Wolverine star explains their surprise Marvel return
As a long-time gamer and avid Marvel fan, I was beyond excited to hear about the unexpected cameos in “Deadpool & Wolverine.” The recent revelation that Chris Evans returned as Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch, was a pleasant surprise that added an extra layer of excitement to an already highly anticipated movie.
Deadpool & Wolverine spoilers follow.
As a longtime fan of comic books and blockbuster movies, I can’t help but be thrilled and intrigued by the latest news coming out of Comic-Con this weekend. Deadpool and Wolverine, two of the most unpredictable and beloved characters in the Marvel Universe, have once again surprised us with their sudden return. The excitement was palpable as the guest stars graced the stage, leaving many fans on the edge of their seats wondering what was in store for us.
After the Comic-Con panel, the actor told EW in an interview that Ryan Reynolds was solely responsible for making the cameo a reality.
But before we go into their quotes, a final warning for major spoilers ahead.
As a longtime fan of Marvel comics and movies, I can’t help but be excited about the latest development in the world of Marvel Entertainment. Having grown up reading the adventures of Chris Evans as Captain America, it comes as a pleasant surprise to see him take on a different role in the upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine” production.
Reynolds contacted Evans personally about the role, which left him “so excited”.
“Friends forever, Ryan is,” he remarked. “Out of the blue, he messaged me, ‘Hey, this could be a long shot, but would you consider reviving an old project from twenty years past?’ My response, ‘What a surprise! Absolutely!'”
Evans went on to commend Reynolds’ exceptional ability, referred to as a “midas touch.” This talent brings about success, even in lighthearted pieces like the cameo in Deadpool, which fits seamlessly within the storyline without belittling the character.
I’ve come across individuals in my life who possess such a deep sense of self-awareness that it leaves me in awe. One particular individual comes to mind – he seems almost invincible, shielded by an innate understanding of himself and his surroundings. He has a knack for making jokes before the audience even has a chance to think of one. It’s as if he’s tapped into some hidden reservoir of wit and humor that few can match. His life experience has honed this skill, giving him an edge in social situations that leaves those around him both amused and impressed.
If you plan to reintroduce a character and need a solution, Ryan’s humor often makes the situation feel comfortable and secure.
Regarding a possible comeback of Evans as Captain America after the Human Torch’s return, he expressed a firm answer: “Not really, no.”
Sorry guys.
As an avid fan, I was thrilled to discover that before the premiere of “Deadpool & Wolverine,” it was announced that Dafne Keen would be making a comeback in the role of Laura/X-23.
Kevin Feige from Marvel clarified that the reveal was leaked since it allowed her to attend the world premiere. He mentioned that Disney is skilled at determining the right balance between advancing and holding back in their marketing strategies.
Deadpool & Wolverine is out now in cinemas.
