Deadpool & Wolverine debuts with fresh Rotten Tomatoes rating
As a longtime fan of both Deadpool and Wolverine, I am beyond excited about the upcoming release of “Deadpool & Wolverine”! The trailers have looked absolutely hilarious and action-packed, and the prospect of seeing these two iconic characters team up on the big screen for the first time is a dream come true.
Deadpool & Wolverine has debuted with a fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes after its first reviews.
In the upcoming third movie of the Deadpool series, hitting theaters on July 26, Ryan Reynolds’ crass character reappears alongside Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine for the first time. They join forces to put an end to a mutual threat: Cassandra Nova, portrayed by Emma Corrin.
Matthew Macfadyen, known for his role in “Succession,” joins the X-Men universe as a new TVA agent. Meanwhile, returning cast members include Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, and the X-Force team’s Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Yukio (Shioli Kutsuna), Shatterstar (Lewis Tan), and Peter (Rob Delaney).
Currently, the film garners a robust average criticism score of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 141 professional evaluations.
Although it currently has the poorest score among all franchises with a rating of below Deadpool (85%) and Deadpool 2 (84%), there’s still a chance for improvement as more critiques are published following its premiere.
In the four-star assessment given by Digital Spy, we remarked that: “This ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ production offers first-rate amusement, a summer blockbuster packed with fan dedications for two hours. While it may not maintain appeal during subsequent watches and isn’t flawless, your enjoyment won’t wane in the present.”

However, in this context, it functions as an invigorating contrast to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s saturation over the last 15 years. With Disney-supported Marvel showing signs of exhaustion, the entire genre could benefit from a refresh, and this quirky character is perfectly positioned to bring about change.
