Avengers: Doomsday rumor teases Deadpool and Reed Richards’ battle
Rumors are circulating about the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie, hinting at a possible surprising showdown between Deadpool and Reed Richards.
According to Alex Perez, a source close to the entertainment news site The Cosmic Circus, Marvel Studios is planning a scene where Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, will get into a fight with Reed Richards, portrayed by Pedro Pascal. While this scene is expected, Marvel hasn’t officially stated whether Reynolds will be part of the project.
Perez added to the rumors by sharing mysterious messages on social media. He hinted at a possible storyline by posting, “Hmmm… Mr. Fantastic is facing the wrong opponent,” and then shared another post about the expected action scenes.
He then shared a short video with the name “Wade” and what looked like Deadpool’s legs, which immediately excited his followers.
A reliable source, MyTimetoShineHello, previously suggested Deadpool will have a significant role in the upcoming film. According to a post on X (formerly Twitter), Deadpool will participate in a battle between the X-Men and the Avengers and Fantastic Four, potentially as part of a ‘Doomsday’ scenario.
Even though there’s a lot of talk online, none of this information has been officially confirmed. Marvel hasn’t said anything about Deadpool appearing or fighting Reed Richards. Until Marvel makes an announcement, everything you hear should be considered a rumor.
The next Avengers movie, currently titled Doomsday, is planned for release in theaters on December 18, 2026. The film will feature a star-studded cast including Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, and Simu Liu, among other actors.
