The Deadpool: Samurai comic concluded its six-year run with a final issue that included a tribute to the popular anime character, Naruto.

The cover of Deadpool Chapter 26 features a stone carving of Deadpool’s face painted red on a mountainside. This is a direct reference to the final page of Naruto Chapter 700, which showed Naruto Uzumaki’s face carved into the Hokage mountain after he became the Seventh Hokage. In that scene, Naruto’s son, Boruto, playfully painted the face red.

The Deadpool comic’s cover also showed part of Wolverine’s face, specifically his rugged features.

Someone on X praised the Deadpool comics, saying they’re unique. They highlighted a recent cover that paid tribute to Naruto by recreating the famous Hokage Rock, calling it a clever and creative blend of popular culture.

Another user stated, “GOAT recognizes GOAT.”

The Deadpool comic series will conclude because Shueisha is ending its publishing partnership with Marvel Comics. As reported by Comicbook.com, Shueisha announced that their agreement with Marvel will end on March 31, 2026.
