Biggest winners in Deadlock patch notes

Mina – Love Bites buff & Spirit scaling
Currently, Mina’s “Faster Love Bites” ability now deals one fewer bullet but has increased damage, and her damage scale is tied to Spirit instead. Additionally, the healing effect of her “Rake” skill scales more effectively, and her ultimate ability cooldown has been decreased by 15 seconds, which equates to a 11% faster recharge rate.
In the recent modifications, Love Bites becomes a stronger tool for Mina during early skirmishes and lane harassment. Be mindful that it activates swiftly when trading attacks. Furthermore, adjustments to Spirit Scaling will enhance her influence in the mid-game. Keep an eye out, as Mina was introduced in the significant Deadlock update in August; expect to see more of her gameplay.

Shiv – Dash God is back

In simpler terms, Shiv’s updates in the latest Deadlock patch notes will make him significantly more lethal and agile. The cooldown for Bloodletting has been shortened from 25 seconds to 20 seconds, allowing him to absorb a higher volume of damage more frequently. Moreover, the deferred damage has risen from 25% to 30%. Furthermore, the maximum cooldown reduction for Slide and Dice has been enhanced, meaning he will not only be able to withstand more damage but also dash around more frequently!
Shiv got perhaps a bit too much love in this patch. Yet, Shiv mains are of course… delighted.

Vyper – Even more poisonous…

Instead of Shiv, Vyper focuses more on dealing damage over time, but she’s felt awkward to use, making her a moderately popular choice. However, the recent Deadlock update has given her a fresh lease of toxic life. Indeed, Vyper is seeing some significant upgrades.
Vyper’s Poke Dagger now has a cool-down reduced by one second, and its spirit scaling has been boosted. This means you can utilize more impactful items in the later stages of the game. Furthermore, the T3 slow effect has been doubled, making it harder to escape once slowed down. So, good luck trying to walk off the effects easily!
In the latest Deadlock update, Vyper’s deadly Venomous Strike now recharges every 20 seconds instead of 26, enhancing its availability in each fight. Additionally, Vyper’s crowd control abilities have been strengthened. The range of Petrifying Bola has been expanded, and the cooldown for this skill has been reduced by 20 seconds.

General: Rejuv and Non-player death changes
In the most recent Deadlock update, Valve has closed two exploits that allowed players to enjoy advantages without making significant contributions. One adjustment pertains to Rejuv, as it will now solely restore health for the individual striking the crystal, thereby eliminating the free health support previously given to teammates in proximity.
In the latest Balance Patch update, there’s a modification aimed at preventing players from purposefully self-destructing towards towers. Specifically, if a player dies due to non-player causes, their respawn time will be extended by 10 seconds for that particular demise.
- Rejuv only heals the person hitting the crystal.
- Dying to a non-player (when there is no bounty/assists) now increases respawn time for that death by +10 seconds.
- Patron first death time is now a constant 12s (previously variable between 8–15s).
