As a dedicated gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say the news about Dead by Daylight Mobile shutting down is quite disheartening. This game has been a staple in my mobile gaming routine, providing me with countless hours of horror-filled fun and adrenaline-pumping action. The shift in NetEast Games’ development strategies seems to be the culprit, but I can’t help but wonder what Operation Apocalypse or MARVEL Super War have that Dead by Daylight Mobile doesn’t.
NetEase Games has officially confirmed that they will be closing down their service for the popular 4v1 horror action-survival game, Dead By Daylight Mobile, on March 20, 2025. This decision comes as part of a larger shift in NetEase Games’ development and operational strategies, which has also affected games such as Order & Chaos: Guardians, Operation Apocalypse, MARVEL Super War, and others.
Dead By Daylight Mobile is set to shutdown thanks to NetEase Games’ issues
For individuals who might not be familiar, “Dead By Daylight Mobile” is a well-known 4 versus 1 horror action game that revolves around the thrilling concept of cat and mouse. In this game, you have the option to pick a role: either become the ‘Killer’, stalking Survivors and offering them as sacrifices to the Entity, or take on the role of a ‘Survivor’, teaming up with friends or going solo to evade and survive against the Killer. This mobile version is a port from the widely-played PC game by “Behaviour Interactive”.
Dear People of The Fog,
The team at NetEase Games is deeply saddened to announce that Dead by Daylight Mobile will officially be leaving app stores on January 16th, 2025, and ceasing operations entirely as of March 20th.

Sadly, the team announced that Dead by Daylight Mobile will no longer be available as of March 20, 2025. This is due to changes in NetEase Games’ development and operational strategies.
For those perplexed, let me clarify that the game is ceasing operations only on mobile devices. Rest assured, Behaviour Interactive will persist in creating, maintaining, and expanding Dead by Daylight for PC and console platforms. In other words, the team encourages all players to carry on their adventure within The Entity’s Realm.
Fans are disheartened by the announcement, but there is some good news for them
If you haven’t played the game yet, you have plenty of time as it will continue to be available on both the App Store and Google Play Store until January 16th, 2025. After this date, the game will no longer be accessible. Unfortunately, in-app purchases are no longer an option. On a positive note, you can still play the game and use your current currency and items until the servers are closed on March 20, 2025.
