D&D’s new PHB will be available in limited numbers next week at Gen Con
As a long-time Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) fan and avid attendee of Gen Con, I’m thrilled to pieces about this year’s exclusive opportunity to get my hands on the 2024 revision of the Player’s Handbook before anyone else! With my D&D-loving heart racing, I eagerly await the announcement of how I can secure one of the coveted 3,000 copies for the Aug. 1 Gen Con release.
As a gamer excitedly waiting for the new Player’s Handbook revision in 2024, I was thrilled when I heard the news last week. However, my anticipation turned into surprise as the release is now expected to hit the Gen Con gaming convention tables around five weeks earlier than initially planned! But here’s the catch – this early bird special will only be available in extremely limited quantities.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that Wizards of the Coast is giving us an early sneak peek of the upgraded 5th edition D&D, previously known as “One D&D.” This new version comes with a bunch of rule modifications and remains compatible with the initial rules released in 2014.
Approximately 80,000 people are expected to attend Gen Con this year, which means not every attendee will receive a copy. Instructions for trying to obtain one have been shared on the official D&D website, requiring interaction with the convention’s intricate ticketing system.
