After the hugely popular team-up of Deadpool and Batman, Marvel and DC Comics are joining forces again – this time bringing Spider-Man and Superman together! These two iconic heroes are among the most well-known and loved of all time. While they’ve appeared together in comics before, fans are getting a brand-new story showing them working as a team.
Artist Jorge Jimenez recently posted a preview panel from the upcoming Superman/Spider-Man #1 comic on Instagram. This is the first official look at the highly anticipated team-up between Marvel and DC Comics, and the artwork shows Spider-Man and Superman together, building excitement for the story.

The comic panel is divided into three equal parts. The top section shows Clark Kent opening his shirt to reveal the Superman symbol, the middle shows Peter Parker taking off his shoes to reveal his Spider-Man costume, and the bottom focuses on Spider-Man’s hands and wrists as he shoots webs.

I just saw a preview of one of the covers for the upcoming Superman/Spider-Man #1 comic, and it looks awesome! It shows Superman soaring through the sky with Spider-Man swinging right next to him – a really cool image. DC and Marvel are letting fans get a sneak peek, which is great!

This isn’t the first time these two popular superheroes have teamed up in comics. Back in 1976, they starred together in a story called Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man: The Battle of the Century.
A recent comic featured a temporary conflict between Superman and Spider-Man. The story begins with an imposter Superman appearing at an event and kidnapping Mary Jane Watson and Lois Lane. When the real Superman transforms, Spider-Man attacks, initially gaining an advantage thanks to a blast of red sun radiation.

But the boost doesn’t last, and as the image shows, Spider-Man can’t defeat Superman.

The two heroes resolved their differences and decided to team up against their common foes: Doc Ock and Lex Luthor.
The comic finishes with a big battle between the heroes and villains. Doc Ock eventually understands that Lex Luthor’s plan would destroy the Earth, so he switches sides and helps Superman and Spider-Man. Together, they defeat the villains and send them to jail.
What Is 2026’s Superman/Spider-Man Crossover About?
The new Superman/Spider-Man comic will feature a main story by Brad Meltzer and Pepe Larraz, pitting Superman and Spider-Man against Lex Luthor and Norman Osborn. But that’s not all – the comic will also include other stories beyond this central adventure, offering even more for readers to enjoy.
A unique team-up is coming as Spider-Man Noir joins forces with the original Golden Age Superman in a 1930s setting. This story, led by writer Geoff Johns, will also feature several characters from both the Spider-Man and Superman universes, with Mysterio playing a key role.
A new story will focus on Symbiotes, Mighty Thor (Jane Foster), and Wonder Woman. Meanwhile, Steel will battle Hobgoblin, and Gwen Stacy and Lana Lang will team up in their own separate adventure.
Finally, fans will be treated to a team-up between Miles Morales and Superman.
