DC Comics Drops Five-Minute Sneak Peek of ‘Superman’
DC Comics and Warner Bros. are preparing for their anticipated summer blockbuster by offering fans an unexpected five-minute preview of the forthcoming Superman movie.
In this upcoming movie, David Corenswet portrays both Superman/Clark Kent. James Gunn, now co-CEO of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran, brings his unique style to the DC Universe for their first significant blockbuster since his appointment. A preview was initially shown at ComicCon in Las Vegas this week, and within 48 hours, DC has made the clip available online to build even more excitement.
In the latest sneak peek for Superman, some familiar scenes from the earlier trailer are included. The adorable super-pet Krypto makes an entrance on a frozen landscape to escort his master back home. This scene, expanded from the first preview, shows Krypto carrying a bruised and battered Superman to the Fortress of Solitude. Here, he encounters a robot with a giggle, who picks him up and says, “Oh, he looked at me!” The villain responsible for injuring Superman remains unseen, instead focusing on setting up a hero in distress – a narrative style favored by director James Gunn. The trailer also offers quick glimpses of various events from the film, hinting at what fans can anticipate in the new Superman. Joining Corenswet are Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. The cast also includes Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell.
