At the moment, we kindly request that you give us space and honor our need for privacy. Contrary to any rumors or misconceptions, I have never cohabited with a man who was abusive, and Leonardo DelVecchio is no exception to this rule.
I deeply regret the harsh words I spoke in the heat of anger, which were not grounded in truth. Looking back, I realize that those words were directed towards a man who holds significant roles in my life – my companion, stepfather, and family person. I take back every word that came from a place of anger, acknowledging the impact they may have had on our relationship. My past experiences have taught me the importance of speaking with kindness and compassion, especially towards those who are close to us. I strive to learn from this moment and move forward with love and understanding.
The statement appeared in white letters against a black backdrop. Below it, Jessica added DelVecchio’s Instagram username accompanied by a heart symbol.
He reposted it to his own account and has not commented further.

Jessica, a mother of one, is most recognized for her role as Sloan Peterson on Days of Our Lives and for headlining the 2020 film, Wheels of Fortune.
Last summer, in July, the previous contestant on America’s Next Top Model revealed her engagement to Milan resident Del Vecchio. Notably, his late father, Leonardo Del Vecchio, held the position of chairman at Essilor Luxottica – a renowned luxury eyeglass company based in Italy.
