Dawson’s Creek fans melt down as two stars from iconic series share cryptic posts with date and location

Dawson’s Creek fans melted down as two stars seemingly hinted at a reunion on social media.

On Wednesday, James Van Der Beek and Busy Philipps both posted an identical vintage Polaroid picture on Instagram featuring the principal four actors from the cherished teenage drama show.

Moreover, the post contained a specific date and venue – September 22, 2025, New York City.

It was captioned: ‘If we were truly meant to be, then we’ll find a way back to each other.’

That particular quote is an iconic line from James’ titular character Dawson.

Fans were driven wild by the cryptic posts as they flooded the comments section with reactions.

One person expressed, ‘Millennials truly could use this at the moment [palms up with heart symbols]’, while another echoed excitement with a nod to the show’s classic tune, saying, ‘I can’t wait!!! [lots of heart-eye emojis]’

Dawson (portrayed by Joey, Katie Holmes), Pacey (Joshua Jackson), Jen (Michelle Williams) spent six seasons delivering Kevin Williamson’s extensive dialogue, tackling mature topics, and generating plenty of tears. The image of Dawson crying has become an enduring symbol in pop culture history.

In the sixth and concluding season, Audrey Liddell, a significant character, moved from a recurring role to becoming a permanent member of the cast following her appearances throughout the fifth season.

For more than 128 episodes that started airing in 1998, viewers followed the group of four friends as they navigated life in Capeside. The complex romantic dynamics between Dawson, Joey, and Pacey took center stage, with fans often finding themselves rooting for either Dawson or Pacey, dividing into opposing teams.

2003 saw the airing of the final episode, a flash-forward, that ultimately unraveled the romantic intrigue and left viewers stunned by the demise of the character portrayed by Michelle Williams, Jen.

Though both Katie and Joshua Jackson are present in the same photo, neither has shared a identical post with their co-stars thus far.

Despite having separate careers, they’ve reunited for a new project. They are currently filming a movie called “Dear Strangers” in New York City.

In the image, Michelle was still present, even though her character had died, and she hasn’t responded to the earlier posts yet.

Michelle remained in the picture even after her character’s demise, and so far, she has not addressed the mentioned posts.

She has also quietly welcomed her fourth child – her first born via a surrogate.

The 44-year-old four-time Oscar nominee’s child is their third with her spouse, theater director Thomas Kail, who is also 48 years old.

The aluminum (or the person named Alum) announced delightful news during their appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, with Tiffany Haddish, a well-known comedian, serving as the host at that time.
