Davina McCall’s Post-Cancer Love story: No Rush to the Altar with Michael Douglas Amid Travel Plans!
According to reports, Davina McCall appears to be taking her time before getting married to her partner, Michael Douglas, following her recovery from a brain tumor.
The television host, who is 57 years old, disclosed in November that she had been diagnosed with a seldom-encountered form of non-cancerous brain growth known as a colloid cyst.
On November 15th, I underwent a six-hour surgery to extract a 14mm colloid cyst from my brain, following a routine health examination that detected a potential growth.
For quite some time, Davina has maintained a close friendship with the renowned hairstylist Michael, who is now 47 years old. However, their romantic relationship didn’t start until after Davina officially ended her marriage to Matthew Robertson in April 2018.
According to The Sun, she shows no immediate plans for another wedding, preferring to prioritize shared travel adventures with her partner instead.
A friend of Davina shared with a publication that Davina is deeply in love with Michael, which has left everyone speculating about their wedding plans and future together.

Personally speaking, I must clarify that Davina’s primary focus isn’t on tying the knot with Michael just yet. Instead, her dream at this moment is to embark on a global journey with him, creating unforgettable memories through shared adventures.
One thing Davina truly enjoys is spending time in nature, and it seems she might be organizing an incredible road trip with Michael. Michael is a great companion, allowing Davina to simply be herself around him. Therefore, their travel plans should go smoothly as they share a strong connection.
It comes after Davina revealed that she’s been given the all clear from her brain tumour.
On Saturday, the celebrity shared a video on Instagram alongside her partner, providing an update about her health after undergoing a recent MRI scan.
Additionally, Davina posted unique ‘before’ and ‘after’ images from her scan, showcasing that the tumor has entirely vanished from her brain.
In conjunction with the video, Davina wrote: “Here it is – our concluding report on the brain surgery. This week, we had the last MRI scan. The skilled surgeon at @brain.surgeon.uk successfully removed everything during the operation, and there’s no recurrence.
I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at @onewelbeck and @clevelandclinic, as well as to my mum and @mdlondon for their exceptional care. A big thank you to Sarah for being an incredible friend, and to my amazing kids for their unwavering support. Lastly, a shoutout to @brain.surgeon.uk for being the best of the best in his field.
I am incredibly grateful, especially considering the number of individuals who are dealing with incurable tumors. I recognize that I’ve been fortunate to be able to put this behind me and continue living my life, while many others cannot. Just wanted to reiterate: ‘Benign’ doesn’t mean everything is okay.

In simple terms, the video captured the Masked Singer judge and her famous hairstylist boyfriend enjoying sunlight. Davina shared an update about their recent medical procedure, saying to the camera, “We decided to share a final update on our health situation,” with Michael adding, “It’s positive news!
She shared that she recently underwent her last MRI a week ago, and confessed about feeling anxious because there might still be some tumor left, which could potentially regrow, requiring her to endure the entire process once more.
She mentioned that she had psychologically readied herself for that situation, whereas Michael expressed his apprehension since it represented a significant voyage.
Laughing with joy and relief, Davina then added: ‘but it was clear!’
Afterward, they displayed two scans side by side. The initial image revealed a tumor in her brain, while the subsequent one showed that the tumor had entirely vanished following the surgery.
Davina continued, expressing her gratitude thusly: “I’d like to extend my deepest appreciation to everyone who took such great care of me. And a truly heartfelt thanks, on behalf of both of us, to Kevin – he was nothing short of extraordinary.
Apart from expressing gratitude towards their supportive audience, the duo also acknowledged their loved ones – family and friends. In closing, Davina expressed her affection by waving goodbye to the camera.
Recently, Davina emotionally shared about her brain tumor surgery during a live broadcast on Comic Relief.
Currently, the speaker has taken some time to introspect deeply about life’s essential aspects following a surgery five months back, where they had a colloid cyst removed.
During the show, she mentioned that doctors discovered a brain tumor. After giving it some thought, she chose to undergo its removal.
As I stood before the lens, battling an overwhelming emotion that threatened to spill over, the team had to gently interject, asking if I was alright. In that moment, I felt a deep vulnerability that made me human – your lifestyle expert, Davina, in all her authenticity.
In a voice that faltered, she mused, “Contemplating the balance between the potential dangers and the beneficial aspects of getting this tumor excised, I’ve found myself delving into profound thoughts about the essence of life and what truly matters when facing hardships.

To regain my well-being, I relied on the combined intelligence and talents of numerous specialists. Moreover, the affection and encouragement from my friends, relatives, and notably, my dear Michael, have been essential in helping me overcome this challenging time.
Davina realized: ‘It struck me how numerous individuals find themselves in distress without the assistance I benefited from. I truly consider myself fortunate.’
Last year, Davina shared the news on Instagram in a video. She mentioned that she was given an opportunity for a health scan, which she believed she would excel at. However, it unexpectedly revealed a benign brain tumor, a condition that occurs only three times per million people.
As a lifestyle expert, I must confess that I momentarily chose to bury my head in the sand, seeking solace from the overwhelming deluge of thoughts and opinions. However, during this hiatus, I sought counsel from esteemed neurosurgeons who provided me with valuable insights. Upon reflection, I recognized the necessity for me to emerge from my temporary refuge and face the issues at hand with renewed clarity and determination.
It’s quite large, measuring 14 millimeters across, and unfortunately, it needs to be extracted. If left untreated, it could become problematic. I’ll be having it taken care of. Could you please keep me in your thoughts? I’m staying optimistic.
Davina shared that although there was no imminent danger, her doctors expressed worry that the tumor might expand further and lead to potential issues or complications.
A colloid cyst is usually a slowly expanding growth, often located at the core of the brain. This non-cancerous mass consists mainly of a jelly-like substance.
